I spoke to a Miele customer service rep who suggested heating the cup. He said if it gets any hotter it will turn to steam. It seems strange that when buying such an expensive machine that you cannot even get a hot cup of coffee!!!

I have found that you need to start with a hot cup either by heating water in your cup in the microwave or by putting how water from the Miele in your cup and letting it stand.

My coffee machine doesn't get very hot either, I add hot milk to the coffee in order to raise the temperature a bit.

Not hot enough

There is a setting between "Warm, Normal, Hot and Extra Hot" however no espresso machine will "boil" the coffee, as this would burn the coffee and taste disgusting.. The best thing to do is to zap the coffee for a little while in the microwave if you like a scalding cup of coffee..

I have a hotpoint freezer fza34 The red high temp

it could be that your fridge, freezer setting is not turned up high enough to keep the freezer cold enough.turn it up to setting number 5 at least and if that dont do it u could have a faulty thermostat.have it checked by a engineer.

Coffee not hot enough

Ive had this machine for over 3 yrs now and agree the coffee could certainly be hotter. I usually blast hot stream from the milk jug by pressing the clean button for 5-10 secs. This does help. Also by having the cups heated up on top of the machine also helps. But i usually always give the completed coffee a 10 second blast in the microwave to get it to the temp i like. Its not ideal i know, but there seems no other way. Oh and make sure the temp is on high in the menu.

Gaggia Titanium. . coffee not hot even though

Remove the filter holder and brew some water into a small plastic cup and check temp, it could be the thermostat for the coffee temp is damaged.

Coffee and milk is luke warm when i make something

If you set proper menu position to "high temp", then i think one of the the boiler heater coils must be broken.

Coffee is cold and not brewed properly. Unit has been cleaned,de-calcified, rinsed, but still the coffe is cold. temperature is set to high, and the machine can produce steam. Anyone help?

Check water temp, if water temp is insufficient , most common is scale heating element , faulty element, faulty thermostat.
Check if water is dripping right at the center of the filter, if it is dripping on one side because the orifice is clogged, that can result in weak coffee.
Coffee blend not well distributed on filter basket.

On Espresso machines:

Check water temp, same as filter coffee machines (thermostat element, scale on heating chamber).
Ensure that coffee is filled correctly in the filter cup (fill at level), and well pressed.
Ensure that the coffee mixture that you are using is not too coarse, buy the apposite one for espresso.
Ensure that you are not leaving the machine brewing for a time that is too long, and Italian coffee cup is very small, approximately one regular shot.

On the hob moka pots (espresso, Moka and Bialetti type):

This are the trickiest ones, you need art and practice to get a good espresso with a Moka, but when you learn, the result is better than what you may get with an home electrical espresso maker.
The frame on the hob must be not too strong, and the mixture coarse but well pressed, with water at level tag, or you will get a weak coffee.
On Mokas a good strategy is keeping hob at minimum, and turning up the flame at top when coffee starts coming out.

French and turkish cafetieres:

Ensure that you put enough coffee, water hot enough, and that you left the infusion enough time to get a strong coffee.

Note: insufficient pressure and clogged lines on electric machines never give you a weak coffee, exactly the opposite.
Not pressed mixture always gives weak coffee, but too much pressed mixture may give you coffee with bad taste.

Coffee not hot enough

hi elite 288! have you tried pre-heating your coffee cups? i fill w/hot water, then set them on cup warmer until i brew coffee (dump out water & slide cup under spout at last moment) and i do my frothing of milk before brewing espresso. also, have you allowed adequate time for machine to warm up/run just water through machine: after it indicates it's ready to go, hit the brew button & allow about a 1/2 cup or cup of water to run thru, warming up the brewhead. when ready button again lights up, brew your espresso. if this doesn't get it hot enough for you, try descaling your machine (you can look online or in manual for how to do this). since you have a refurb unit & heating element may not have been replaced, it could have some build up on it causing it to heat up all the water less efficiently. if this doesn't work, you may need to have the place you purchased it from diagnose and repair. good luck!

Cuisinart DCC 1150: coffee is not hot enough

Using the 1-4 cup setting will help, but that model does not have an actual heating element in the plate - definitely not the right model for someone who likes very hot coffee.
