The Room does run on Windows 7 64-bit.

I just played a pirate copy of The Room on mine, to make sure a purchase of the proper boxed game is not an unplayable waste.

It worked fine after a minor adjustment to setup.reg and so should the real DVD, if that is what you are using. My version of Windows 7 does not even, to the best of my knowledge, come with the virtual XP.

These are the instructions I followed:

"Hey world's people, if your pc is say: ''Game not installed correct'', Thats why:

-You're using a Windows Vista 64 bit or Seven 64bit
-So just follow the following steps:

1. Click in the setup and install.

2. After setup is over, open Setup.reg with notepad,

3.Replace the line [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Konami\SILENT HILL 4\1.00.000] with [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Konami\SILENT HILL 4\1.00.000]

4.Save

5.Double click the setup.reg file again and click YES!
6.Enjoy!!"

Hello ez0469
Silent Hill 4 doesn´t run on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. This edition of Windows has an in-built virtual XP machine, which I would recommend installing the game on.
To access it, press the Windows key and type in "XP", and it should be one of the first hits in the results list.
When you now launch the game, the virtual machine will automatically load in the background.
Hope this helps. If you need further help, please feel free to ask.

Google chrome will not open on my computer, I have defragmented and used troubleshooter. I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it

Best place to look is your event viewer for clues as to what is going on.
Usually you can find it in Control Panel > Administrative Tools
Open the Event Viewer and choose the "Application" option.
Tip: In Windows 7 it might be under "Windows Logs"
Once you have that open, scroll down and start looking for warning and error reports related to google chrome or events that happen at the same time as you tried to run it.
That should then provide you with EventID's and error messages to use as search terms/phrases and narrow down the likely causes.
Hope that's of some help.

Computer Event Register

Search for 'event log' or 'event viewer' in Windows 7, xp, vista
I don't know about Windows 8 or Apple Safari
Generally the event log registers each event... and if enough certain error types accumulate within time frame parameter, the computer issues error message.. or contacts the server at Microsoft possibly signaling need for update etc.

Error no. 302?

Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Manager
Windows 10 in startup apps go to Administrative Tools / Event Manager
Right Click start menu click event Viewer
once there look to left and expand WIndows Logs Click on Applications and wait for them to load See my pictures i found an error then I clicked on it and it told me what app.
If you don't have event viewer turned on you won't get anything. Then just google turn on event viewer your OS = (winodws 10, Windows 8 etc. turn it on reboot once the error occurs it is recorded go to event viewer and see results.

Windows cannot connect to system event manager

If this problem has not existed for very long try doing a System Restore to a time prior to it starting.

Do you have more than one user profile on your system, if so, have you tried logging in with a different profile to see if the problem exists globaly or just in your normal profile? If the problem is with your profile only then this would suggest that the profile is corrupt and you should create a new profile if you don't have another already.

Another option is to run the System File Checker utility to determine if you have any corrupted or missing critical Windows files.

Lastly try temporarily disabling your AntiVirus and Firewall software then try to access the Event Viewer management console - it is probably best to have your computer disconnected from any internet access when doing this. If this succeeds then check for any events related to the error in opening the Event Viewer - you may find it easier to clear all the current events first then recreate the error and look at the logs again to identify the most current and relevant entries.

I am getting system error, on computer start up and showing as this application has requested the runtime to terminate it is an unusuall way.I am using windows 7 home premium.

Try looking at the errors listed in your Event viewer ( see this link) and report back with the code that's listed for the system error. (Look at the application events and system events, and report any errors exactly as listed. If you right click on the event code and choose properties you can get more info on the event online. At least I think that still works in 7)
Anyway, let me know what you find.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Install photoshop elements 6 for windows 7, it does not open at all after installation.

You have to wait for the information about the compatibility of the Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. You can upgrade to Adobe Photoshop 8 which is completely compatible with Windows 7. You can check the compatibility here. Check event viewer for the error message, for this click on start menu type Event Viewer and press Enter. It would be better to check with Adobe for what operating systems that Photoshop Element 6 would be supported. However you can try installing Adobe Photoshop Element 6 in a fresh installed Windows 7.
I hope this helps.
