Preamp changing

This is not program/software error. This is hardware error.
Damage is on the potentiometer. usually caused by a bad contact inside the potentiometer. The most common is the preamp-TYPE potentiometer.Faulty potentiometer can also occur in the other,
depending on what we hear, when (suddenly) the bass sound bigger or smaller, it mean that BASS potentiometer was bad.
Potentiometer must be replaced, because it can not be repaired or cleaned (except, you are experienced in parts repairing).. This is due to the potentiometer is to use a special type.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SET UP MY ROLAND JUNO D WITH MY AKAI MPC 1000, PARTICULARLY HOW TO SET UP THE MIDI ON THE ROLAND.

Simple way is MIDI out from Juno to MIDI in on MPC, then (depending on how you want to work), connect MIDI out from MPC to the in on the Juno. If you do this you MUST turn local control off on the Juno or else you'll get double triggers (internal + msg in from MPC). Now to record sequences on MPC , set MIDI to as track in setup window (on the 2500, this is accessed by pressing MODE then pad 9, then press button under the corresponding tab [on LCD]) then set your MIDI channel by port, meaning if your MIDI cable is physically connected to out A, in your LCD in bottom right corner it will show as follows: 1A. This indicates you are transmitting on MIDI channel 1; port A. Remember, MIDI IS NOT AUDIO!!!!! Since the Juno is a synth and not a workstation, all transport controls are handled by the MPC, that's pretty much it... Hope this helps a little, enjoy!

P.S. Go to mpc-forum.com its THE sh**! They also have links for their e-book I have one for the 2500 and its awesome!!!

Akai MPC 1000 is stuck in USB mode

I'm having the same problem. This is my second MPC 1000 and my first one didn't have this problem. I bought one of the first one-thousand MPC 1000's sold in the US. I loved it. I sold it for rent, boo hoo. I'm glad to have another one back in my life. But sad to see it having issues already. I've only had it for a week. I have emailed Akai regarding this issue. I'll post pack here if they give me a good fix.

Loading an MPC5000 with midi files

if the mpc has GM soundbank then this should be possible. You might be better off recording the audio from a suitable GM unit first of all before gigging with it, then you can make it sound the way you want and change the key to suit etc.

Getting an error message when starting the PSR 2100

I would do a factory reset. Search Google for: factory reset PSR 2100.

It will be holding certain buttons or keys down when powering on.

Is it a bad idea to fly with my akai mpc 2000?

Good idea to carry it with you. Fluctuating barometric pressure will not affect it.
