Inside of the dryer gets warmed up when the drum rotates as there is circulation of air. Hope your clothes are drying. If it takes long time then clean the screen filter as it gets clogged with the flint from clothes. As a matter of routine clean this filter every time you use it before starting the drying process.

My Whirlpool AWZ8578 does not heat up. I have replaced heating element and thermostat but still not much heat. It is look warm, but not drying clothes as it used to. Please help

If you are not getting any heat but the dryer is otherwise functioning normally, then check the heater overload mounted on the dryer exhaust. It is essentially a fuse that melts when the dryer overheats. It is screwed onto the heat exhaust duct inside the dryer. If you know the heating element is coming on as you can see it or feel the heat inside the dryer but clothes just aren't getting dried, then it is an airflow issue and the likely problem is the dryer vent line is plugged with lint. This can be the external line that vents to the outside from the dryer, or internal inside the dryer. Either way that is a fire hazard and should be cleaned ASAP. Hope this helps

My Whirlpool duet sport dryer got hot and shut off after running 20 minutes.

Sounds like you may have a bad heating element that has grounded. You should have this looked at to make sure if you aren ot handy to open the dryer up and inspect the heating element your self. make sure the element wire has not broken and fused itself to metal inside the dryer heater housing.

I changed the heating element in my lady kenmore dryer, but still not heating...

If the previous element was burnt out, the following test can be done.

First unplug the dryer. then bridge the active and neutral on the plug with a bridging jumper. ( a piece of skinned wire will do ) then set the dryer control on heat (hot or warm) make sure the door is closed ( door switch cuts element as well as motor.) If this is impossible then you may be able to operate the switch by clamping it with something. then disconnect the element wires from the element. You should be able to read continuity across two of the element wires. If you can, then select the other temperature setting (hot to warm ect.) if you can read continuity across the common and the other then the element is faulty if you cant, then check hot temp switch, warm temp, switch belt breaker switch. if it has one.

Whirlpool Estate Dryer TGDS840JQ1 dryer runs but does not heat up to dry the clothes.

when you say heat up is it at least getting warm...
you may have a igniter gone bad or your thermostat may have failed... your igniter is what has to ignite the gas to burn to make it hot. If its electric then your heating coil has failed and needs to be replaced

Whirlpool dryer stops after 5 minutes

Locate the circuit breaker for the dryer. Run the dryer for awhile and with the back of your finger pressed against each of the two switches (it will be a double breaker), see if the breaker is getting warm or wait until the dryer quits then check the breaker for any noticeable increase in temperature. With properly rated breakers, they should not get warm. If getting warm, it is a sign the breaker is bad and should be replaced.
