Hi if the hands are running backwards then this would suggest the battery is in the wrong way round, take the battery out and turn it round and you should find it will be working normally.

some cheap batteries have got the terminals the wrong way round so the possitive will be the negative and visa versa so try and avoid buying cheap batteries as they wont last long and could do more harm than good.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Hello ,,, I changed the battery in my Timex Indiglo and now just the light is working but not the minute hand or time hands. How do I fix this I have tried two batteries already?

Inside the battery compartment, you will see the battery is held down by a clip. Carefully remove the clip and eject the battery. Insert the new battery and replace the clip. If the battery clamp indicates you should do so, quickly press the reset button twice. Then reattach the back of the watch. If the watch display remains off after replacing the battery, press all buttons at the same time to reset the display.

Second hand stops for a few seconds and then starts again over and over again

Try manually winding it (assuming it's not a quartz watch). If a mechanical watch is not worn daily it will run down and need to be manually wound to get going. Turn the crown clockwise about 40 turns.

Second hand doesn't move for each second

Your TAG is fitted with EOL (end of life) feature. This is the cause of that 4 seconds interval movement of seconds hand and thus indicating the time for battery replacement. The timekeeping is not affected by this- it is just warning to replace battery a.s.a.p.
Find your nearest watchmaker and ask for battery replacement.

Problems with Tag Heuer 2000 Classic WK1120.BB0314

Explanation is simple: your watch has jammed geartrain or some dirt particles stuck into geartrain. This is why the seconds hand was moving backwards and forwards.
Nothing to do with EOL (End Of Life) feature wich is built into watch microelectronics and signals that this is the time to replace battery by advancing seconds hand two or four seconds at once.
To open the watch you need a proper watch caseback opening tool, but I can't see any reason for doing that as you will not be able to fix the geartrain problem without proper knowledge and skills.
If the warranty of the watch is expired, you don't need a TAG specialist as you will be charged for job anyway. So, find your nearest watchmaker shop and ask for repair.
