Induction cook tops do not heat by convection... only the cook ware gets hot. Your cook ware has to be made or encapsulate ferrous materials. More simply put; if a magnet won't stick to the pot it won't work on an induction cook top.
it is not a fuse. as if it shorted it may blow it and then nothing .. the sw to either one burner is at fault replace the sw 's ( both and the cook top should be ok . sw cost around 25 to 40 ea ..
OK, the best action is to call for service, if the unit was just installed, and purchased. This unit should be covered at this time, by the manufactures warranty, or store 30 day warranty. This repair should be free. The culprit will be a faulty spark ignition switch, and module. Testing is required. Once this switch, or(module), is replaced, the unit will operate correctly.
first chk the power outlet for the cook top.make sure there is 120 v.if that is ok and power cord along with the plug is ok then most likely spark module needs 2 be replaced.
Confirm there is 240 VAC powering the unit (make sure a breaker has not tripped or a fuse blown.).
Did the burners ever produce enough heat?
If yes, then we can look deeper. If no, then the burners may not be adequate for your cooking style. Burners are like light bulbs. A 60 watt bulb will put out more light than a 40 watt bulb. A 100 watt bulb will put out more light than a 60. Typically, a small burner will provide less cooking heat than a large burner.
Unplug cook top. remove drip pan with screwdriver. Use hair dryer to completely dry area that might have gotten wet during cleaning. This may take five minutes. Put unit back together and plug in cook top.
