What universal remote control is compatible for the mitsubishi 1080 hd series i belive mine is 55 inches? i need to align the red n blue crosses so my picture is not blurry.

Your TV's Convergence may be out of line. To adjust this do the following.

1) Press the Menu button on your TV/Remote
2) Scroll through and select the "Advanced Features" Menu.
3) Select Blue Convergence
4) Use the V keys on your remote till the cross hairs are all lined up in the middle of the screen and the center one is white.
4a) You can use the "Video" button to switch between the red & blue cross hairs.

Your unit has some sort of Thermal problem either with the PSU fault, or a thermal problem elsewhere that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur. T

You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

it is usually in the Audio settings,sometimes by the CC settings, if you go to the TV and enter th menu from the set, go thru one at a time until you find the spot to turn it off, it is under options or Menu on the remote also, there maybe an SAP Option on the remote itself, but you may have to press another key first like a "Function: Key.

most likely the convergence Ics have failed. Check F9a04 and F9A05 pico fuses if they are blown you will need to replace them and the convergence Ics.They are located on the center board they are green and look like resistors without the color band. see the photo

you have to make the alignment for all 3 formats....standard....1080i...and 480i

is this a rear projection? if so.. the best advice is to have it professionally looked at. especially if it involves a cube. it can involve realignment or replacement of the cube
