There's good news and bad news. The good news is that you might well
have forgotten that the default password on the Samsung SGH-D500 phone
is 00000000 (that's eight zeroes). The bad news is that if
you've changed it to something else and that's what you've forgotten,
you might well need to take the phone in to a service center to have

you are talking about the security lock code to enter into the phone
then once it is lost nothing can be done except flashing the mobile .
Because if anybody can give the security code created then who ever who
steals your phone can get into it and get your valuable information.
So as safety precaution to avoid that they have designed it such that if
you forget the security lock you have to reset the mobile memory by
flashing the mobile at an authorized service center.So while flashing
the mobile all the data in the mobile memory will be lost and you can
again start using the mobile.
If you forgot the password or don't know the security code, You have to master reset the phone. Contact your service provider to get a master reset code at free of cost....You can also visit http://www.unlock-zone.com/ and can see different options there to get unlock code for a price. Choose any price appropriate for you...................

Go to security settings and then click on factory reset settings and all the passwords will go. The default code for factory reset is mostly 12345 or 1234
If you never sellectioned a password, it should be "00000000".
If you did really forgot a password that you entered in the phone, then you could try to type this:
*2767*2878#
And tell me if it worked. It should perform a complete reset of the unit to factory setting. "You should lost all personal data with that phone" and have to do back all the operation you did on it to have it operational again.

Try "00000000" (eight zeros) if this doesnt work and you have access to menu-settings-reset settings-all do this and it may help? This resets all codes/passwords to "00000000" Hope this helps.
you have to reset all codes on the phone back to factory setting go into security and restor factory setting it will explain in phone handbook how to get to this then for the password type in eight 0 the phone will then restart and say done
