Thank you for contacting FixYa.
I would try a local jeweler first as many spring bars are interchangeble.
If not, I would go to:

How can I obtain a the bracelet pin that holds the bracelet to the watch base? I currently have the pin but have had the set screw that holds the pin to the watch base come and is lost.

Well if its a spring-bar you're looking for you can generally find assorted sets fairly cheap on ebay....if you need a screw pin you could try ebay or possibly a radio-shack? I think I've found smaller screws there before generally used in small electronics.

The watch part number and a knowledgeable watch maker will provide the correct bracelet. If you WANT a leather strap most models can accept one - unless the case is sculpted to integrate seamlessly with the bracelet, in which case you may not be able to insert the spring bars that are necessary to mount the strap.

I want to shorten my watch band on my new Casio MTG900DA-8WC It has a metal band

Hi,
In order to remove the links of your Mtg930 watch you will need a couple of tools . It is recommended to have a watch pin pusher and a spring bar remover tool in order to do so. If you do not you can use a small precision flat head screw driver , the size that is usually used to fix glasses or smaller.

First you need to lay a cloth down at a table . Lay the watch on top of cloth to prevent scratching . flip the watch upside down and have a good at the back of the watch bracelet.

If you look carefully you are going to see notches on the back of each link with an arrow pointing in. This is where the spring bars are accessible and can be pushed in to remove the link.

You need to place your spring bar remover, pin pusher or precision screw drive in the notch against the edge.

Mean while push the opposite side of the watch link up so you can see the most of the spring bar inside the notch.

The spring bar is going to look like a pink with a notch on the the top then gets smaller. As shown below on the left side of the picture. If you are looking at the notch on the spring bar, that is where you need to get our tool ontop of . So you can push down the spring bar.

Once you push down on that notch on the spring bar the link will be able to slip out . Without a spring bar remover it will be more difficult and you will need to be patient as you try to work your flat head screw driver into the notch and be able to push down . Once the pin is push down you need to pull the link from the rest of the bracelet.

Do not be surprised to take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes if you have no experience and not have a spring bar remover.

Once you removed all the links you desire , You will need to put the spring bars back into the links and close the watch bracelet up.

The easiest way is to slip spring bar into middle of link. Bring the other end of the bracelet over so it the bottom covers the other link with the spring bar head out. Push the spring bar down with your tool as you slide the links back together.

After buying this model watch bracelet links are rusted and torn with one year of purchasing. When i took that watch to the show room where i purchased. They kept it for 40 days saying that they has to...

mcdevito75 here, Many watches built today are not comming out with replacement Bands (straps, Bracelets) from the factory, the cost of makeing and keeping extra bands on hand is too high, they should at least have a few extra links to replace worn ones. Chances are your warantee is over on the watch and in that case, you"ll have to find another band, Bracelet on your own. Best Bet, visit a small watch repair shop in your area for another bracelet, band, Strap.
