I replaced the lamp in a wd52525 and still have know picture. the lamp is on but the screen is just full rectangles. what could be the problem?the green light is on and not blinking.

Rear-Projection TVs have a lamp, which picks up the picture and projects it on the TV screen. A burned-out or connected lamps are two of the most common problems for Rear-Projection TVs. I have had issues also with the power supply having failed capacitors, tops of caps will bulge up rather than be flat. The most common failure is a popped lamp or defective lamp. Inspect the anode of the lamp, it may have fractured or is swollen at the base.

U restart the tv,u hear alots of clicking?That mean the Ballast is dead or have problems,that why ur picture lamp not sustaning the picture.Replacing the Ballast might or will sustance the picture.

am sure the lamp is fine. first thing replace the lamp thermal sensor if this does not work check the lamp ballast (aka) lamp power supply.

sound like a DM or FMT board failure. this is not the 4 cap blinking green light problem. check out

did you use an original mitsbishi lamp. did it slide in easily? one of the most common problems with a lamp replaement is pushing the connector away from the lamp if it doesn't slide in easily. unplug the set, take out the lamp and look with a flashlight to see if the connector is in place. if so put the old lamp in and see if it works. if it does then your new one is bad. if it doesn't then email me

You replaced lamp and still get flashing light.
1. TV's 'ballst may be bad.
2. If lamp comes on for 2-3 seconds, the problem will most likely be the caps in the power supply. (to see lamp turn on you have to take off back or front (inner panel).
