When I switch On my phone it says "Sim card not valid". And its not taking the Sim Card. But without the sim card its perfect. My IMEI is 359849016183862. Please help me...

Hi, what might be the possible cause of the problem is either the Sim card your using on the phone or the Sim tray where the Sim card is inserted in the phone.

You can use the Sim card in another phone to be sure the Sim card is working properly.

After that, if the Sim card works,That means that Sim tray is damaged and will need to be replaced.

there will be no other solutions yet? aside from replacing another sim tray?? because i have that problem too.. it will automatically shuting down when it hass a sim card .. but if it is not having a sim card it is easy to power on..

There are some possible solutions:-
1. Check that your sim card is in perfect condition by insering the sim card in any other mobile phone... If the ssame error appears then it means the problem is in your sim card
2. Check that your sim card's slot is in perfect condition by insering any other sim card in your mobile phone... If the same error occurs then it means the problem is in your sim card's slot
3. Check that you are insering your sim card correctly or not

Sim not valid

Check IMEI by dialing *#06# if it is same as the IMEI written in the backside of the phone,Then the problem is from Sim card try with other Sim.In case IMEI is different please concern Mobile repairing shop.Thanks For visiting Fixya

Nokia n73 sim card not valid problem but when remove SIM it works propely and the SIM works ok in any other mobile finally when put any other SIM gives the same error sim card not valid

when u press *#06# your phone shows imei and imeisv no. , so actually only one sim has a valid imi no.
so u have to to a valid imei installation shop n have to get a valid imei installed

Are you using the same cell provider? Example: Cingular phone and Cingular Sim Card. Because you can't use say a T-Mobile phone and Cingular Sim Card. Don't really know a solution just thought maybe this might help.

Its a service provider locked phone
try to unlock it with unlocking device (UFS-3 or JAF)
or if u know the operator code u can send me with ur phone IMEI
