Hi, my Panasonic PT47WX49E rear projection tv suddenly shut itself off. It won't turn back on at all unless I unplug it and plug it back in. However, when I do that, the power light comes on but nothing happens on the screen. Seconds after that, the tv shuts itself off again (I can hear the "click"), then won't power back on unless I repeat the unplug/plug in again. Am I doomed?

It does not blink at all. The red light comes on for a second or two, then it all powers off. The very weird thing is that you can't get it to start to power on again unless you unplug the wire from the wall and plug it back in. It does not blink at all. Not strange at all, it means something related to the microprocessor in the set is being affected, unplugging resets the micro.

If power light comes on and goes off, either a voltage to the micro is missing or low or some problem with the micro---not likely to be fixed in your home.
