When I turned on the steamer, steam or smoke came out the side and no steam came out the steamer, so I turned it off immediately.

smoke out exh is normal if super cold out side is it. (steam)
when engine is fully warm this steam goes away
but if not and smells sweet this steam that is cracked head or warped head.
if IMMO lamp is not happy ,the immo kills spark and fuel.

did you used only water for coolant in engine/rad?
that error cracks blocks and heads
starter cranks Fast( turns)

learn to watch your neighbors cars push out steam then later it stops hot engine. if smoke is smoke it smells like burning oil and is because it is oil burning, and is other problems ,

rad cap off , is full of AF 50% ,i test mine every early fall for 50%
or risk great engine damage. (a tool I have tests that cheap)

Have you tried descaling it? Limescale blockages are common.

I was able to turn on the steam mop, but no matter how hard I pumped the handle... no steam. Someone here said to put vinegar into the water bottle. I realized that they were saying particles from the water could have formed and clogged the steam tube. First, make sure your steamer is OFF!! Turn the steamer upside down as though you were putting a new pad on, Use a slender object to clean out the tubing where the steam comes from. Again, I will say... make sure your machine is off before you attempt this.. Otherwise, when you clean out the tubing the object will become a bullet flying thru the air and can hurt you, Hope this works

Step 1 - How It Works
A garment steamer is a hand held device. Water is placed in the tank and is heated until it becomes steam. The steam is directed at pressure through a nozzle to the garment. The heat relaxes all the fibers in the garment, which eliminates the wrinkles in the clothing.
Step 2 - Preparation
Put cold water in the water tank of the handheld steamer. Check to ensure all the parts are properly connected. Turn the device on and allow the garment steamer to heat until steam forms.
Step 3 - Shirts
Put the shirt on a hanger. You should button the collar and a couple of buttons below it. To make life as easy as possible, hang the shirt from something that will easily let you reach all around it-a shower curtain rail is ideal for this.
Steam from the bottom of the shirt, moving upward. Direct the steam at the material and pay particular attention to the collar area. After you've finished, let the shirt hang for a minute before putting it in the closet. This will allow the dampness to air out.
Step 4 - Dresses And Skirts
Dresses and skirts can be made of many different types of fabric, with different printing, so special care is needed with these. Where the material itself is delicate, such as silk or velvet, make sure that the nozzle of the garment steamer never directly touches the material.
Where clothing has been embroidered or screen-printed you should turn the item of clothing inside out and steam that side instead. That way there's no risk of damaging the print or embroidery, and the wrinkles will still disappear. When you've finished, give the clothing a minute for the dampness to fade, turn right side out and hang in the closet.
Step 5 - Heavier Material
Where you're steaming a heavier material, you might well find that it needs several steamings before all the wrinkles go. As an alternative to this you can also use the garment steamer on the inside and the outside of the piece of clothing.
Step 6 - Water Level
Check the water level in the tank after each item of clothing. This way there will be no danger of the water running low. If you let the water run out you can end up damaging the garment steamer. On the other hand, if you put too much water in the tank, all that will come out will be water, not steam.
Step 7 - Other Uses
A garment steamer is surprisingly versatile. You can also use it on drapes, upholstery and even wigs. Many people pack travel size garment steamers when they go on trips.

the air fuel mix is not correct. the coil is blocking the air intake. fuel nozzle not pointing into the combustion chamber?

Hi You need to switch Steam ON so it heats up and then turn Steam button OFF (no light) and then turn steamer knob counter clockwise you will hear the pump start up and then water will stream out. This is when it's primed. Turn steamer clock wise to close. You must do this everytime you use the steamer.

I've only had it fly off once.  I think I didn't put it all the way on.  Also make sure you clean the nozzle every time you use the steamer.  Milk will clog the nozzle otherwise.  My maker is right beside the sink and I rinse the nozzle immediately after steaming milk.  I also run it through the dishwasher at least weekly.  (This isn't a substitute for immediate clearing of the nozzle.)   A clogged nozzle will always blow off the end.  

Both tubes must be in the water. If you haven't used the machine for awhile, fill the water canister, turn the espresso maker on and also turn on the delivery switch (the top switch on the EC140). You'll hear the pump and in a second or two water will begin to exit the boiler nozzle. Immediately turn the delivery switch off. Wait for the "OK" light to come on. Press the "Steam" switch (the middle switch on the EC140, place an empty cup under the frother and turn the steam control knob on top in the counterclockwise direction. Steam will come from the frother. Be very careful to avoid contact with this steam.
