Hello, when I connect my Wii to a Samsung 3D plasma tv I get a black and white (non-crisp) picture but I do get sound. When I do the same set up on a tube tv everything works. I tried the set up on anoher Samsung 3D plasma and get the same result as the first. Thoughts on how to fix?

A 3D tv is another form of an HD TV, you need the Wii HD cable to play it right, and make sure you plug it into the HD ports on the TV to get the color and sound back.

When playing DVD on panasonic plasma TV, the color is black and white

Consult the owner manual for the player (and or try it on another set) as many players have settings that can cause B&W or a single color display for the image.

I have hooked my wii up to a new samsung 42"

Make sure that you have switched the Wii to component video in the system setting menus. Once you have done that, you should have a color picture in 480p! Hope this helps!

Tried to hook up to a AKAI Plasma TV...Only get black and white grainy picture

Ok this is a quick fix. All you ned to get a set of Wii HD cables from the store and all should be fine. Also you might not want to put your Wii on a Plasma TV its not good for the TV try using on LCD, LED, or plain old tv works best that way no image burn

Nintendo Wii works fine on standard tv but not on hdtv.

FOUND THE PROBLEM !!!!! The problem appears to be the Freeview somehow interfering with the Wii signal. When the aeriel lead is removed the Wii works fine, and the audio/visual signal is great. When the aeriel lead is in I have the problems. I hope this solution proves to be of use to anyone else having similar problems.

I just bought a new plasma tv. I cannot seem to

You Plasma TV is probably an HDTV, which means you need to change the settings on your Wii to HD. Just go to the Wii menu and modify the TV settings. If you don't want to do that, make sure you connect your RCA cables to the non-HD slots on your TV so that the yellow RCA cable is in the yellow slot and not the green HD slot.
