I suggest, browse the Firefox site (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/) and click the free download. Before you install the new version please remove the old version.

The easiest solution for you would be to get a copy of the Windows CD from your retailer as you need to re-install Windows over the top to patch up your existing copy.

try disabling your virus program and then trying sopcast again. Let me know if that helps.

If so, some of these programs will interfere with streaming video programs. Uninstall them and give it a try. Let me know how it goes.

Scan your computer with Malwarebytes and Superantyspyware which can be downloaded free from the internet. also installed Hijackthis and then remove all the BHO and no name items. Restart the computer and you will not get the error any more
