My samsung rant keeps saying abnormal stae, charging disabled. What do I do?

Unlock Samsung Rant M540 1. Power up your Samsunt M540 with your new unaccepted SIM card in.
2. If phone prompts for unlock code, enter it. However, if it doesn't, then type: #0111*CODE# (Where CODE = Your unlock code).
3. Phone should say "Network Unlocked" and may automatically reboot.

Have you taken the battery out for more than one minute? has the phone gotten wet?

I wouldn't try it........Best bet is getting a new battery

All you have to do is plug the phone into the computer with a USB cable (cord that came with the rant) then u go to your main menu on your phone.Go to Tools then mass storage then connect to pc. HOPE IT HELPS :)

try unplugging the charger then putting it off then remove the battery and place it back in and turn on then try recharging

i have tried different chargers, but my phone keeps saying abnormal state charging disabled.

I have found that disabling the key guard keeps it from freezing almost completely. Also, disabling and enabling bluetooh causes it to freeze - but that usually only lasts for a few seconds. It's definately the issue with the key guard for my phone that causes the problem.

Hey guys, i'm sorry but i have some bad news :(
This black screen of death which you have all been experienceing has been a problem of many different phones and all of them have the same cause. It is a manufacturer defect in the phone which pretty much has screwed up the software inside. Sometimes it may take a while for this problem to be come apparent (such as in my case it took nearly a month). I have done hours of research, and there was only one solution. The phone needs to be replaced. 
Sprint has told me that no customer will be charged for replacing the phone (insurance or not) because it is a manufacturer / software problem. the only difficulty is that without phone insurance, it may take a few weeks to get your new phone sent to you from Sprint. With insurance, you can just walk into a Service center and get ur phone replaced on the spot. 
One major pain with this problem is that all phone numbers and data (except on the mini sd card) is erased or unreachable.
Sorry about the bad news, but i hope this helps everybody getting this same problem no matter what the phone.
