Electricity dropped momentarily; AC no longer cools

Open the main breaker for 5 minutes and see if the unit resets. Momentary power fluctuations can cause odd behavior, especially in older units. This could also have been the final jolt that killed a failing capacitor.

Lg lp1213gxr spitting water how can I fix

Check the AC units condensation drain, it is likely plugged. When an AC is running it dehumidifies the air as it passes through the evaporator core, this creates a lot of liquid water, it must be drained off.

R-22 home condenser unit low side and high side pressures when running

Pressures look good but to know if it is charged correctly you have to do a sub cool or superheat to know for sure. Rule of thumb is if turn unit it on let it run 10 minutes. If the suction line sweats and is cold. Might be proper charge.

I have a Ruud Model # UACC-036JAS. Any idea on

Hi, yes the number you are showing me 036 indicates its a 3 ton unit. For every ton of cooling, you will have 12,000 btu's of cooling. 36 divided by 12=3 ton unit. Its showing me also its a Ruud Handler 2.0 ton which would be a Model# UACC-024JAS? If your mobel number is the one you gave me, UACC-036JAS, this is a 3 ton unit, absolutely no questions. I hope I have been of help to you. I am a licensed air conditioning / Refrigeration /Heating Contractor. Let me know if I have been of help.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7
PS If this is a split system with the indoor air handler and condenser outdoors, both coils must be the same tonnage for it to work for you properly. You can't have a 2 ton indoor evaporator coil with a 3 ton condensing unit.

Too much condensation

I have never heard of "too much" condensation. The condensation is the the moisture that is being removed from the home. If the home is very humid and its common for alot of condesation to be removed from the coil. As long as the coil is not freezing up, you are good to go.

Need info for RUDD upflow oil furnaces

Contact your nearest Ruud DISTRIBUTOR, usually The Noland Company, and ask them if they could go into the historical documents and print out or send you the files for the wiring, spec's and parts breakdown. From the model number, that unit is rated for 3 tons of a/c. You can find a 3 ton coil that will fit in the space and get a straight cool condenser of 3 tons cooling and swap thermostats so it brings on the furnace and fan in heat and the condenser and fan in cooling. Or just add a simple White - Rogers model 444 for the cooling. Ron

Pan missing when RUUD unit was installed causing problems with AC

I think your talking about an emergency drain pan. Is condensation building up on the outside of the unit? If it is, it means that the unit is not draining properly and the is too much water sitting in the main condensate pan. If you don't have the emergency pan, then the condensate drips from the unit onto the ceiling in your attic. I'm assuming a lot of things but this is what I think you are asking. You will have to find an ac supply company that will sell you an emergency pan and then it must be piped to the outside of the home or it can be plugged but with the use of a float switch. This switch will shut the unit off if the main condensate drain becomes clogged. You should have a professional come and wire a float switch unless you are knowledgeable about a/c equipment. I hope this answers your question.
