The Nx300 printer needs to have all the colosr and the black with ink in them so that they will print. For the printer will not print unless there is ink in all the cartiages
Be sure you are using genuine epson ink. Epson printers are "smart" and will not allow generic ink to work properly. Even after you replace a generic with a genuine it may take several print outs and alignments to get it to print again.
Chances are the mechanism to recognize the ink cartridges is already damage and it may cause a lot having it replaced. I suggest to get a new printer instead specially if you have tried reseating the ink cartridges several times and won't work still.
open printer there is a slot beside ink cartiges in the slot there is a plastic gear and a black cam by reclipping cam into its propper place it alowes the ink cartridges to move freely thus solving fault.
to avoid this problem do not force the removal of printed paper
f you have
just installed a new cartridge and you still see an ink related error
message, the cartridge may be incorrectly installed. Follow these steps
to make sure the cartridges are correctly installed:
Make sure the Stylus CX is turned on.
Check the photo viewer screen to determine which cartridge is incorrectly installed. Then do one of the following:
If printer shows the ink cartridge is expended, press the Start button.
If the printer shows the cartridge is low on ink, press the Setup/Utilities button. Press the or button to select Press Start to change cartridges. Then press the Start button.
Press the Start button again.
Lift up the scanner, then open the cartridge cover.
Caution:
Never
attempt to open the cartridge cover when the print head is moving. Wait
until the cartridges have moved to the replacement position.
Press down all the ink cartridges until they click into place to make sure they are properly seated.
Note:
If a cartridge is properly seated already, you may not hear a click.
Close the ink cartridge cover and press it until it clicks into place.
Close the scanner.
Press the Start button. The Stylus CX charges ink for about one minute and displays Charging Ink on the photo viewer screen until charging is finished.
Caution:
Never turn off the Stylus CX while the Charging Ink message is displayed or you'll waste ink.
Press the Setup/Utilities button to return to the previous mode, if necessary.
When you put in a "new" cartrage the printer sens an electrical charge to the cartrage to set it up properly. So I would treat this as a new cartrage, rather than a refilled one. Go to the printer menu and re install the ink cartrage in question, it should recognise it and start the function as a new one, good luck
