First off, if the SEEING Machine (seeing?) is not working well, it could be related the "BLIND Stitching" elements.
Sow ing machine: Sewing!
Just teasing! But in reality You should never disassemble your machine. It needs PROFESSIONAL care and attention. Do Nor, I restate...do not remove screws and attempt to fix you own machine...it may make things worse. Get Professional assistance only.
Berend: Thick fabrics require a longer stitch length. If the longer stitch length doesn't work check your attachments for an Easy Feed foot (It sort of mimics a walking foot.)
Try to borrow another foot pedal, or try taking it to Sears and ask them to plug one of their foot pedals into it. It may be that is the problem not the machinie
Usually pedals possess a variable rheostat controller that react with the action of your foot. If it fails to function normally, it suggests that a short circuit has occurred. Generally, that means an internal wire or contact opens up and stops all further activity as you mentioned. The best bet is to take the machine to your local sewing machine dealer for repairs.
have good eye hand cordination and lick the end of a perfectly cut thread up to the bob make sure not too have any loose thread on the end or will not go threw
