Hi,
you can get the drivers for your notebook here before restoring the computer back to factory settings.

You may also need to have the OS installer for the computer to continue with the restoration.
Cheers!!

Resetting factory settings on my epson wf 4630. forgot passwords

When you reset to the factory settings means it will be exactly as it was when you bought it. No programs and no documents. It is starting over from scratch and is really a big headache. Always make backups so you can restore the information you need, but you will also need all the original software programs so everything can be reinstalled. BIG JOB!

My acer tablet screen froze after I accidentally deleted apps that I don't need. How can I fix other than buying a new tablet

First, try rebooting. If that doesn't fix it you may consider restoring the device to the original factory settings. A word of warning...restoring to factory settings will take the tablet back to the way it was when originally purchased. All passwords, updates, music, photos, videos, audio recordings, apps and so on added after it was purchased will be deleted. So don't do this if you are concerned about losing the aforementioned data and files. To do a factory reset go to settings and look for a restore option. It may be under something like system restore, device settings, back up and restore or something similar. Once you find it, it should warn you that your device will be restored to factory settings and that all post factory apps, passwords, data and files will be deleted. If you still want to restore your device follow the instructions. You will then have to set everything up from scratch as if it was just purchased. I did this with a Kindle Fire. After the factory restore I reinstalled my apps, added all my accounts (email and so on), downloaded all my books, music, etcetera, and it has worked great since.

HI, my computer needs help! its slow and seems to have unremovable viruses. I want to wipe the entire pc clean and the reintall windows.

do all this first on a clean pc. download tools to remove viruses and even download windows 10 cd (in event you have to install from scratch by formatng all the old, virus pc stuff away (first). But do try to clan it first.
download and use rescue tools like Norton power eraser:

https://security.symantec.com/nbrt/npe.aspx

also try

http://www.mcafee.com/us/downloads/free-tools/stinger.aspx

use both and follow instructions

you may have to restart and do it again (a few times to be fully clean or virus free

I want to restore my dell vostro 3500 to factory image

You'll need restore disks or if there is a restore partition on the hard drive then you can restore it from there. It will be less problematic to get some anti virus software to rid the computer of a virus.

I am trying to restore my laptop to factory settings after some serious problems. essentially what iv tried to do is; started it in safe mode, started up the hp management centre thing, and i selected the...

Your laptop is waiting for the restore disk. Some PCs keep the restore data on a separate partition of your hard-disk, but it seems yours doesn't, therefore it's waiting for a disk version. As you don't have this on disk, you have a problem, but people are often too hasty to restore to factory settings.

Turn the laptop off by holding the power button down for about 5 seconds. You should still be able to power back on and start in Safe Mode as you haven't actually started the factory restore. Once booted, select system restore again and this time choose a restore point/date rather than the factory settings option. If you've been having problems for a while, try choosing the earliest restore point available and see if this solves the problem. You will need to update some of your software again after doing this - in particular, make sure you update your Anti-Virus software as recent update patches will have been lost.

Other than this you have little option than to re-install Windows and everything else from scratch, unless you can obtain the factory settings on disk from somewhere.

Hope this helps.

How do i restore factory settings?!

You need to provide more information.

Are you referring to reinstalling the operating system (such as Windows XP or Vista) back to factory defaults and erasing everything?

There are also factory settings for the BIOS such as selecting the default boot device and other options,

There are also "System restore points" within windows that lets you set the system settings back to an earlier point in time, as a troubleshooting aid. It works, sometimes depending what your issue is.

What do you want to restore... and why?

If you have a problem with how it's running that can be fixed without doing a restore. Usually by removing the offending software, or virus.

I have an Acer laptop to work on that has numerous viruses on it and I was wondering if Acer D2D recovery will remove them?

system restore vs system recovery:

a system restore will restore the system to a set point in time. this will not remove viruses.

a system recovery will reinstall windows to its original factory state by utilizing a recovery partition. this will remove viruses. however, it will also remove any data and software that has been installed on the system.

back up if needed but keep in mind that you could potentially be backing up viruses. especially if the user wants to back up music that was gotten from a peer to peer site such as limewire. this downloads are typically ripe with infections so do so at your own risk.

it is not possible to back up software.

System restore isnt restoring and rebooting into safe mode after

viruses often plant themselves firmly in the system restore files. They could also be preventing you from executing it. If you have "rogue programs" a system restore almost never works. You need to either clean the rogue programs in safe mode or backup your files and reinstall from scratch.

High Speed and viruses

Slowness can be caused by viruses.

Run a virus scan and see what comes up.
If there are viruses on the computer, you may want to consider Restoring your computer to factory settings.

But before you do that
Run a virus scan; go to Symantec and run it or download AVG free.

If you decide to restore to factory settings, I will be glad to help you. Understand, you will loose everything on the computer, and you will have to run all your programs again, set up your network connection and email. Very time consuming.
