My kipor KGE 6000 Ti generator overload light is on, and there is no current output.

Read the instruction manual. If you are certain you did everything right and the generator does not behave as intended then return it to the supplier as faulty.

Champion 71000i generator overloads

Can you provide more detail on this? Such as under what conditions it overloads, and how much power you're drawing off of it? Keep in mind that generators have two ratings: Sustained Load and Peak Load. Mine, for example, can handle a sustained load of 1,750 watts, and can handle short-term peak loads of 2,000 watts. Note also that if you're running a microwave, they take a lot. So does anything with a motor in it (refrigerator, etc) on initial start up. Once you've added up all your loads, adjust to where you're within your generator's sustained load and you should be fine.

I overloaded my powermate generator, now it won't generate electricity

Hi!

You need to change your AVR/Capacitor. (Depends on what is fitted to your generator. 2-4 wires = capacitor. 5+ wires = AVR) and you can purchase them here:

https://www.generatorguru.com/powermate/

and capacitors for other models here: https://www.generatorguru.com/capacitors/

FYI, it overloaded the Alternator Output.

Please be aware the total wattage is split between the 2 lowest voltage sockets (windings) i.e. for example a 4500 running watts generator would be 2250running watts per plug.

You also CANNOT use the 230/240v socket at the same time as any of the 110/115v/120v sockets, as this winding is used to make the higher voltage. This is the case on all generators!!

Hope this helps!

Generator was running just fine. it's a bsv5500-w overloaded the unit by mistake. tested with meter and found 86 volts. shut unit down and now only puts out 5 volts on each leg

are you sure the breaker didnt trip when overloaded,as this is what the breaker is for and would explain the ghost voltage of only 5 volts at the outlet

My kipor KGE 1000Ti starts fine but after several minutes stops generating and the red overload light comes on, with the demand for power left connected and the generator still running electrical...

You may be UNDERLOADING the generator and it may be unstable with such a light load... see if it might behave running a heavier load... put a 100 watt light on it as a test,

It runs fine but there is no heat

Hi,
Any component which generates heat is usually the first to stop working in any appliance. Either there is a wire burnt off from the element or the element has blown or there is often a switch in the heating circuit called a thermal overload switch that sometimes malfunctions and turns off the element.

Best wishes,

I have a 6500 es that keeps blowing the 15 amp fuses. It will sometimes run 1 hour or maybe even 2, but then it blows the fuses. What could be the problem.

What are you pluging into the generator??? If the the item/s are drawing more amps or watts, than the 6500 will handel, EX: 6500+or++ or if you add something while it is running, ka pow! Please let me know specifically what you have pluged into it, the fuse only blows if you are overloading it! Check the amp or watt draw of what you are pluging into it to see if the generator can handle it. If you overload the generator enought times you can burn the windings and than it gets costly. Talk to your local shop about what it can handle.
