This is the part that you need, easy to install, your's is the old type, just turn water off, then flush, then remove excess water and install, has instructions with it,Walmart,Home depot,or Lowe's has it,cost less than 10 bucks,I use these.
This sounds like a HOUSE plumbing issue. Is the line porperly vented? Bubbling sounds like the line needs venting. If you cannot go through the roof, they now make local vents that work.
Hi,
A few things to check.....
Is enough water dropping... maybe the flapper is not working right or the tank is not filling properly..
Are the holes in the ring under the seat filled with ****??? or dirt???
Is the toilet vented properly??? maybe the vent is plugged... no air... no flush...
Is something stuck in the trap of the toilet so the water cannot get out quickly...use a toilet auger to check....
Drain pipe is plugged under toilet...
Two things jump out at me from your question. For the water table to have any effect, you would have to have a septic tank with field lines. Even so, air will not bubble back up into the toilet unless you have pluggage in the vent stack for the toilet. I would suggest that a first move to correct the problem would be to locate the vent stack on the roof that is the vent line for the toilet and pass a plumber's snake down the line to clear it of debris and allow it to operate properly. It is possible that sewer gasses could infiltrate into the house if the vent line is plugged. Best regards, --W/D--
sounds like your toilet probably isn't vented properly through the roof or might have too far of a run to where it may connect into your main vent stack
It sounds like your toilet is not vented properly. Either there is no vent pipe (which is not likely since it has worked properly for a while), or the vent is plugged. Possibly an animal or bird has gotten into the vent stack going out the roof of your house and plugged it. When the vent is plugged, the water in a trap or toilet bowl will get sucked out as the water from the flush goes down the drain. I would say to have someone check your venting.
Good luck.
Either your plumbing is not vented properly, or your vent is plugged. If things drain and flush ok, you may not need to repair it. However, if you don't get a good flush in your toilet, the venting may be the problem.
The water in the tank is not filling to the water line, thereby not providing enough water to flush properly. Adjust the float so that the tank fills to the water line
The tank holding the proper amount of water is a good sign. The inside of the stool is like the GOOSE NECK under you sink. It always holds water. This may sound like a bit of a hassle to do but if all 3 toilets are identical, here is what you can try if you are a bit handy. Go to the hardware store and purchase 4 toilet wax rings with a plastic flange and a few sets of toilet floor flange bolts(they are cheap and you can always return if not used, as It is better to have xtra parts on hand). Turn off the water supply to the "Mystery Toilet". Leave the tank and everything connected to the stool. Flush the toilet and remove all excess water from the tank and bowl. This can be done with a shop vac, sponge or towel. Disconnect the water supply to the tank. Remove the bolts holding the stool to the floor and carefully remove toilet. Scrap off all the old wax from the floor flange and bottom of stool. Now go and repeat this proceedure to one of the toilets that is working properly. In other words Switch the "Mystery Toilet" with a "Working Toilet" and see how they react. If the working toilet does it in the same bathroom and the "Mystery Toilet" does not do it in the other bathroom then you probably have a VENTING PROBLEM. If the "Mysery Toilet" Does it in the other bathroom then you most likely have a Defective Toilet. This Job is best done by 2 people, as it can sometimes be challenging to center the new wax ring on the toilet flange. Reconnect to the floor and reconnect water supply to the tanks. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN BOLTS to the floor flange as you may crack the toilet. All drain lines must be vented properly for water to flow. If you are curious check out drain venting on the internet. Also, sometimes a vent can become obstructed with debris, ice, bird nest, etc.. I would 1st check the vent on the roof visually and then have someone flush and listen. If you believe the vent is clear....Then do the toilet switch and go from there.....Hope this helps and Happy Holidays....Joe
