Hi,
You can boot in safe mode to download the driver and install it. To boot in safe mode, press F8 while booting up and choose Safe Mode from the options. The driver of that machine can be downloaded on the following page.
http://www.emachines.com/support/drivers.html
Select Desktop, then D series and then D2266 and make sure the right version of Windows is selected.
The user manual can be downloaded on the following page.

The downloaded file is an .zip file. It is a compressed file. You will need a tool such as Winzip or Winrar to unzip it. If you see the icon of the file is a specific one, not an icon like a blank piece of paper, you may have one installed already. Otherwise you may need to download one and install that tool. After that, you can double click on the driver file and click on the Exact to button on the top and select the location to store the files. After all the files are exacted to that folder, you can open that folder with your Windows Explorer and look for the setup.exe file and double click on it. It will take care of the process. It seems emachine does not carry a specific graphic card but the integrated graphic card on the mother board. If you check the back of the machine and see the monitor is connected to the port on one of those slots go cross the narrow direction of the machine box actually, then a graphic card is installed other than the integrated one on the mother board. Then you might need to search all those card package box and see whether you have a CD for the graphic card or get the brand of that graphic card and download the driver from the web site of the graphic card manufacturer.

OK, I already tried this before sending you an inquiry and downloaded the NVIDIA program but I don't know how to install it. The file is downloaded on my computer but how do I install it? Do I need to go to the User Manual for that?
I have gone to the User Manual and it is of no use to me. I am not trying to install a new video/graphic card. I want to reinstall the one that came with the computer.
