My right joystick on my xbox 360 is very slow and difficult to move i open my controller and i see its in the joystick board the problem. what i can do to resolve the problem?

It's not the controller because it happens to every controller we try. The controllers work fine when we use them on another xbox.

Sad to say but you have to replace the joystick. If the joystick board is damaged, there's no way to repair it.

Hope this helps. :D

I have almost the same problem....

The right joystick produces a slow movement in all directions. It's not the controller because it happens to every controller we try. The controllers work fine when we use them on another xbox.

    Any other ideas???

The right joystick on my 360 controller wont give me full range of motion even though the stick moves prfectly fine

Well, it may be because the XBOX has a de-sync, making the controller delayed when you give it orders.

I suggest using another controller. If that doesn't work, contact Microsoft support.

Slow Turn

If this is only happening in Halo 3, go to the start-menu and look for profile settings, or check the in-game pause menu ( while playing ) and search for your controller settings. You should see a section that says "Vertical/Horizontal Sensitivity" or something close to that. Change it to a higher setting and you should be able to move your aim/sight faster.

Note: This will not increase how fast you walk/run.

If this does not work, you can attempt to open your controller ( remove batteries first ) and check the joystick for any junk that might be preventing full movement. ( this will void your controller's warranty if it has one )

Two broken wireless controllers to make one good?

Not hard the controllers wireless are all the same. You need a special tool a t8 torq tamper tool go on ebay they have them cheap with that you will be able to swap parts. remember there is one hidden screw in the lower center of the controller under the serial number sticker

Xbox controller

The joystick breaks when a plastic piece inside breaks. This problem can be fixed using parts from a second broken controller. Open both controller cases, take a good joystick from one (can be left or right) and replace the broken piece in the other. You'll need a soldering iron, solder, and desoldering braid. You don't want to use a desoldering pump as the contacts come off the board VERY easily.

Right Joystick. . .

I had this same problem with my 360 controller (after modding it, but the solution should be the same..) If you pull up on any 360 joystick it will stick the same way.

The quickest fix would be to take some sandpaper on the inside of where the joystick touches the controller shell, sand it down just enough so the joystick is moving smoothly.

More professional ways would be to cut the little piece of metal that sticks out and goes into the joystick. Just a very small amount, too much will make it hard to press the right thumbstick button.
You could also try some old fashioned grease, just a little bit on the inside, nothing noticeable from the outside.

Also make sure the controller is put back together right, I've taken apart many 360 controllers and sometimes joysticks stick when there's a wire in the wrong place and the shell won't close all the way. (The rumble motors particularly).
Hope this helped!
