I have upgraded my HP Pavilion tx 1320 us to windows 7. After the upgrade and several updates the tablet function stopped working (it worked initially). I cannot write on the screen or select options from menus. There are no driver updates available on HP website for windows 7. Can you help me to reinstall tablet features? Thanks

SOURCE: hp tc1100 memory location

If you flip your laptop over, make sure all power is turned off and the battery is out, Now look at underside of machine there should be one or two screws in a square cover, Just remove the screw or screws and take cover off, Now the modules are held in by two white or black tabs on either sides of the sticks, Just push the two lock down clips and the module should pop up, Pull straight back out and remove. Now when u are replacing with the new ones make sure they are the same speed. and better yet make sure its a matched set, and put back in the same way as they came out in reverse order. Make sure when you push them back into there slots that they are snugg and firm into place, Put battery back in hook power up and reboot you Hp. It should tell you there has been a memory change and ask you to push enter or any key to except and you are on your way to more memory, Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays To You And Your Family

SOURCE: Tablet Keyboard not working

You may have a damaged (Physical) connection. If you know of someone with a tc1000 or tc1100 keyboard, try a swap to rule this in or out. The keyboards are interchangeable. I have several of both and have done this all the time.
Someone trying to "help you" close your "Laptop" could have damaged the connector at the Main board by trying to fold the tablet screen down like a laptop.
Might be a good time to clear static and reformat too. Cures a world of ills, just takes time.
Pull the battery, Pull the AC power, hold the power switch on for 30 to 40 seconds, and release.
Back up all your good data.
Try a restore, just for grins.
If no go, then do a complete reinstall of the factory image. You will need a USB keyboard, a dock with a cd drive or a USB CD drive, Restore discs (cheap from HP if yours are gone missing) and some time.
Install disc 1, follow the prompts through disc 2 and 3.
Follow on screen windows setup stuff when XP starts.
Go to "start", "all programs", "software set up" and install all the software they offer you.
Go to http://free-virus-removal.org/AVG/index.asp?=2376 and download some free antivirus for now.
Shut down the PC
Try your keyboard.
Either way you will need to go to "windows update" from tools menu in Internet explorer and install updates, service pack 2, etc.
Best of luck, I really enjoy my tc1000 and my tc1100. Wouldn't know what to do without them. I put a 120GB drive in my tc1000 then later moved it to the 1100 (must reformat) and keep many shrunken movies, Office 2007, and lots of tunes on it. I put the 40GB from the 1100 into the 1000 (must reformat- operating system differences) and all is well. I've been into 5 tc1000s and they all worked when I was done, so let me know if you need more help.
I hope this isn't too late.

  2. Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove all USB devices and media cards. You want to test the computer not the accessories!
  3. Disconnect the AC power adapter, remove the battery, and then press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds .
  4. Reconnect the AC power adapter (but do not connect the battery), Press the Power button, Look for glowing LEDs near caps lock and num lock keys, and Listen for sounds of a disk drive and fan turning

All of my google apps have "stopped" when I go to use them

You may need to upgrade the OS on your tablet. You could also try clearing the data for your google apps.

Have Generation 1 iPad (MC825LL). IOS 5 is software installed. There is no message to initiate an upgrade to IOS 7 on the "General" page. How do I upgrade to IOS 7?

The ipad 1 will not update to ios 7 because it will make it run too slow, and u don't want it at the speed it will run, apple decided to not let the ipad 1 work on ios 7 because of the speed and it would also make it crash heaps.

What to do when your HKC tablet wont charge

I had this problem with 2 of these tablets. I got one of hem working by upgrading the firmware. They had an issue with angry birds and some other games not working which they resolved with this firmware update. Go to their web site and follow the firmware update instructions. I think it seems to be a software issue with the battery and not the battery itself. After I upgraded, the tablets no charges and plays angry birds. I do have another one that didn't work when I did this but it's worth a try. Here's the link for the download and instructions. http://www.hkcdigital.com/upgrade-your-tablet/

My hp tx2120 us was upgraded to windows 7 and has been working great for several months. Now it won't boot up. The lights on the volume control light up, the fan turns on, but the screen remains black....

You may have finally run into the dreaded "defective GPU" issue, that plagued HP and other manufacturers. Thousands of defective Nvidia chip sets were used in the manufacture of these laptops and if you got one of these, it would last about a year, then fail, in the just the way you describe. If you were out of warranty, HP took the low road and refused to fix them, unless you ponied up $450. Then they replaced the defective motherboards with a new one, with exactly the same component.

If you have one of these, you will better of buying a new machine. I'd avoid HP though.

I installed windows xp on my toshiba tecra m4. How stylus pen works?

Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 is Tablet PC. Windows XP (Profession) has no option of touch screen.
In order to use the feature, you need to install Windows XP Tablet PC Edition or you may install Windows 7, which supports this feature and you would definately be able to use stylus and touch screen, as I have installed Windows 7 and its working fine with all the drivers etc.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!
