I have put a password lock on my ASUS K501 for when my computer comes out of sleep or hybernation. Until now there has been no problem. Now when I go to type the password, when I press the keys nothing types. Also yesterday it dropped off wireless connection and I can't get it back. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Asus K501 laptop - what

The number 1, in a padlock, means "Number Lock". If your computer has a numberpad, this is fine. If it doesn't, it means that the letter keys to the right will act as numbers (often printed on the keytop in a blue colour).

Testimonial: "Yup that shut the light off and probably the trouble with the wireless accepting the security key. "

Is there a default password i can use to bypass start up password for a asus k501 laptop

When there was something like that, it would make all passwords useless.

When your computer runs on Windows then this can help you. You can use Tenorshare Windows Password Recovery Tool Ultimate to reset the forgotten admin password. Here are detailed steps:
1. Launch the software on the workable computer. Then insert a blank CD/DVD or USB flash drive into the workable computer, and burn an ISO image file to the device with Quick Recovery or Advanced Recovery Wizard.
2. Pull out the created password reset disk and insert it into the locked computer, and set BIOS to boot the locked computer from the disk. If your computer is preinstalled with Windows 8 and use UEFI, you have to disable UEFI Secure Boot before the BIOS setting. 3. Then you will see interfaces of Windows Password Recovery Tool, follow the instructions on them to reset Windows password.

I have a dell inspiron 570 desktop and instead of going to sleep it shuts completely down. I was told it is hybernating so how do I disable the hybernation so all it does is go to sleep until I shut it...

Start>control panel>power > find the settings for sleep/hibernation/screen saver
Also, check all your settings at the screen saver level by right-clicking the desktop. There can be some funky stuff set in here.

Asus k501 wont load says bootmgr missing

You would need to do a windows start up repair. Look up the F key needed to go into the factory restore manager should be F12 or F10 but when you 1st boot the pc up b4 or while in the ASUS splash screen look at the very bottom of screen it will tell you there which F key to hit.

Dell laptop computer how do i unlock ruby laptop not a desktop when sgin on it read ruby lock how do i unlock it. [email protected]

The computer goes in to lock mode when it goes into hybernation or to sleep after a period of inactivity. By "ruby laptop" I presume you mean there is a button with the name ruby on it? If so, just click on the button and if it is password protected, it will ask you for the password for that user account. If it is not password protected it will go on into the desktop.

These are protected files, you need to "Take Ownership" of these files and then you can do what you want,, Word isn't too keen on you deleting files from Outside of Word.
