Trying to download apps but it won't register the fact that my calculator is connected

Use the TI USB Silver cable or a standard USB to Mini USB. The calculator shipped with one or both cables.
Before it can be recognized you must install the drivers. Download TI connect and install it on the computer before connecting the calculator. If you use the Graph link (black cable) you need to have a serial port on the computer.
COM3 is serial communication port. On newer computers (laptops) that port is no longer available.

How to connect and use casio cash register TE 2000 with pc

You need to make sure you have a Casio cable to connect the two machines. If you have no serial port in your computer, make sure you have a USB to serial converter as well as the Casio link cable.

I have @ panasonic plasma display model TH=50PHD7UY serial YH5120189 and my question is how can I connect cable tv in to because does not have the connector on back?

Hello
Your TV has no direct cable connector. You can connect it to cable via converter using SERIAL (D-Sub 9pin [RC 232] type connector wire from converter to your TV. It is designed so. High Density D-Sub 15 pin connector is used to connect this Tv with computer. OK.

Kids gave me a printer/scanner Epson model number c171a. Need the cable to it. AN oldie but looks like a pretty nice printer. Can you help??

The cable you need depends on the unit. I am not aware of a C171a model from Epson. I have seen it listed as a version of the RX500. In that case you need a USB cable with A/B male ends.

Otherwise, most printers (from about 1997 on) will use a USB cable. This has two male ends - a square end goes into the printer and a rectangular end that goes to the computer (called A/B). For older printers (there may be multiple ports or just one), you may see a parallel port (the cable has a wide rectangular plug on both sides with 36 pins) or serial port (the cable may have DB9 (9 pin), DB25 (25 pin) or both). Often it is called a RS-232 port. For a parallel port connection, you would need one that is designed for scanners and bi-directional communication (USB to parallel adapters are available to connect this to a new computer but you still need the bi-directional version). Similarly, USB to serial adapters are available.

Generally you can tell what cable you need by looking at the back of the unit where the ports are. (Although some all-in ones have the USB cables in other places - routed through the side of the unit but the plug is near where the ink cartridges go.) Then the size and pin counts for parallel or serial tell you what cable to get. There is usually a symbol indicating the cable type as well near each port. USB cables are usually indicated by a tree like symbol with curved branches.

I hope this helps.

I connect my cam in my pc how its open and start it now

When the camera won't let you connect it with the computer, always use an AC adapter when downloading directly to a computer. Check with the camera manufacturer (try its Web site) to make sure you have the latest version of the necessary software drivers. If your camera connects via a serial (COM) port, check for serial-port conflicts. If you're using a FireWire cable to connect to the computer, turn the computer on, turn the camera on and then connect the cable between the two. Don't turn off the camera while the cable is still attached. If the camera won't recognize the media, make sure media is inserted correctly (this isn't always obvious with SmartMedia, for instance). Make sure media hasn't been write-protected.

Install D- Link adapter

It's not generally possible to connect two computers directly via a network adapter.  You need a hub or router in between the two computers (you would connect a cable from each computer to the hub or router, and that equipment facilitates the connection between the two computers).  Alternatively, you would need a "crossover cable" to connect the two computers directly without a hub or router.

If you're using a FireWire cable to connect to the computer, turn the computer on, turn the camera on and then connect the cable between the two.
