I have no sound at all from my Soundsticks. They have never been dropped, I've checked my mixer, and tried both volume buttons. Just no response. There is no visible damage anywhere and they have always been transported with the utmost care.

Is the power light lit up? If not, double check the AC cord is firmly in the brick adapter, and the plug is firmly in the subwoofer with the arrow facing up. The ac cord may look like it is in tight, but not be. Unplug it and replug it to make sure. Make sure the ac cord is plugged into a good power jack. If you have the brick plugged into a surge protector or power controller, make sure they are on (not off, or 'reset') If you still don't have a light, take the brick to a electronics store (radio shack, etc) and have them check the output voltage. A replacement power brick is not that expensive, especially a third party one.

if you do have the light on, try plugging them into an MP3 player, cd player, or pretty much anything with a headphone jack. Hit the vol up (+) a few times.
If they work there, it's a computer sound issue (wrong plug, muted, headphones plugged in, etc) . If it doesn't work using an mp3 player (or equivalent), you may have a bad audio cable, or the speakers may have simply gone bad.

Harman Kardon Soundsticks III - system turns on but no sound comes out

Indicative of bad connections, either in the plugs to them or internally. I see that it seems to be a standalone Bluetooth system. Make sure it is fully charged. Remove it form the Bluetooth device sending the signal. Reboot that device and re-pair it to the system.

Harman Kardon SoundSticks II Computer Speakers

Hello
It seems that the power supply section of your speaker systen has the fault. Check the fuse inside it. If it found blown out, never replace an other fuse in place. Check the power supply circuit board for any short circuited components in it, before replacing an other fuse.

Hi, my laptop sound has gone dead in a sudden. When I open the volume mixer, I can still see the green bars jumping up and down on digital output device (SPDIF) but nothing at all for windows media player...

Hello patrick886,
If your volume mixer is still showing the noise bars moving, that's great. It means the computer knows sound is coming from somewhere, the fact that you can't hear it, indicates there's a problem with where to send that sound (aka your speakers). Now with the no sound coming out, I'm guessing you are talking about the internal speakers and not external ones.
Have you recently installed any kind of music editing software? Mp3 player such as Winamp, iTunes or other music related programs? I'd start by checking the device manager to see if the speakers are at least being detected.
I've put together a nice little picture for you. Hope it helps!!

I purchased a set of Harman Kardon Soundsticks however they light up but not sound - can you please advise how best to get these fixed. I tried to get help from apple but they pretty much sent me on my way...

I was just given soundsticks speakers with no instructions, and had the same problem. On the right speaker are two buttons marked + and -. Pressing the + button raised the sound level from none to full volume. In my case it was an operator problem.

Sometimes the volume on the soundsticks is incredibly low even when i crank everything and restart everything. Why?

Have you tried the volume control on the right hand stick? They go into a mute mode if they are not used and you need to hit the volume button to un-mute them.

Hi there

Toward the base of one of the satellite speakers are two chrome finished plates...these are touch volume plus and minus pads! It seems that these units default to low level if not used for some time. Just try touching the + pad!

No sound from Soundsticks

Pannik

First things first:

1) time to change your stick speakers.
2) if got warranty, use it, if not, have to RMS them but I just
counsel you to change for others.
