You should be able to order a user's manual through an Aerus Electrolux store ( http://www.aerushome.com/storelocator/ .) They will of course try to sell you a new vacuum. To the best of my knowledge, the U160A was built by Aerus for sale exclusively on QVC. The Aerus/Electrolux stores never sold them and they probably don't like them because of that. They will likely say that they don't "stock" parts for the U160A. That's too bad. It was made by Aerus and tell them you want the manual ordered. I don't know what it will cost.
Follow-on: I contacted Aerus Customer Support by e-mail ( [email protected] ) and they sent me a .pdf copy of the manual. It was not available on their web site with all their other manuals (probably because the U160A was not sold by the Aerus/Electrolux dealers.)
Thanks for the information I am also looking for a manual to my Ultra Lux and I will contact Aerus and get them to email me a copy of the manual. Thanks for the info. Also, I am a bit confused because several years ago when I contacted the Electrolux now Aerus to purchase vacs for a second home I bought this Ultra Lux model and a Lux Legacy upright and an air filter from the salesman. I have heard others speak of it being only sold on QVC but that was not my experience.
Yes you can get parts, supplies and repairs through an Aerus dealer as the U160A certainly is an Aerus machine. They just were not sold by the Aerus/Electrolux dealers but only on QVC - of course there are always exceptions. It's a really good vacuum. I used to own one. Best of luck.
