When the power-supply are plugged in- and/or out, my Lenovo laptop 3000 v200 makes this terrible beep-sound. Lenovo support claims that this sound is impossible to remove and that it is supposed to be there, but I then find it strange that nobody but me seems to be complaining about this issue on any computer forum. The sound is present both when running windows and e.g, bios... Any ideas for how to get rid of the noice?
Thanks M.K
If you're using to Lenovo Ideapad U330 click on the volume setting and go to options: properties.
Select PC Beep and then adjust the volume to your desired level or mute completely
If your Lenovo speakers give a off signal constant ear piercing sound, if might just be audio feedback. It gets worse when you increase the volume of your internal speakers. This is what you do:
1. On taskbar, show hidden icons on the lower right corner.
2.Right click on RealTek HD Audio Manager.
3. Select Sound Manager.
4. Select Microphone tab.
5. Adjust playback volume to a lower level.
That should reduce feedback. This usually happens if the settings were tinkered with.
On Lenovo Thinkpad x200 Tablet this beep was enabled/disabled in BIOS. There are four options (low battery, system warning, etc.), you can enable/disable them individually.
On the contrary, i'm using ubuntu linux (though on a medion laptop) and getting the beep ... which i don't get when booting windows ... get that ...
That's a really annoying sound! I made it mute using this trick:

Commonly problem for continuous beep sound is the sound card or the memory card. Try to reinstall it or re-attach the sound card and clean the edge of it using the eraser. :)
Use Ubuntu Linux, and it doesn't beep at all. Fixed.

exactly as described above.
A BIOS switch to disable this annoying sound would have been nice!!
Yes, "Impossible to avoid" -- what a ridiculous notion.
Actually, it goes away when the computer speakers are on "mute." (Fn+Esc). Not a very good solution, but all I got.
When i am increasing the volume it is not increasing. some times beep sound coming continuosly and system hanging. after i restarted it is not restarting.only this problem is solving using os recovery.
