Polar F6 HRM keeps losing signal

Hi There,

Just bought the Polar F6 and it constantly seems to "lose" the signal. I'll be in the middle of working out, and it will just flash 0 for my HR. Or, it will be freakishly low, like 31bpm.

The sensors are wet, so I know that's not the problem. Would love to figure out what the problem is, as I can't get an accurate read on my workouts.

Similar issue. It will display a too low rate or too high rate. I clean the transmitter everyday and have tightened the band. It got better but then has done the same thing today. It is hard to know when to rely on it.

I would go back to the dealer and have him exchange the watch.

There is not much inside of these watches that is servicable.

If it is not the watch that is defective, maybe there is bad reception for the the conditions where you are using the watch???

I tried to change the F6 battery, but after putting all together I'm haveing a spare part. It's a small clip of the same metal that keeps the case toghetner. Do you have any idea where I could try to put...

The Polar watches are not designed to be taken apart. It is a common misconception to think of them as watches and not mini computers.

The best case scenario is too send your watch and clip into a Polar Authorized Service center. Polar headquarters are in Finland and their should be a close center for you in Oslo.

Visit www.polar.fi to find your local service center.

Another thing, when you change the battery yourself the watch loses it's seal and is not watertight anymore. Polar uses a special vaccum chamber to repressurize the seal to maintain watertightness.

How do I change the battery?

Someone posted a link on how to change the batter on an F11. If it's not longer under warranty or you just don't want to bother with sending it back and the extra costs, you could follow this: http://timlaqua.com/2008/09/how-to-replace-the-battery-in-a-polar-f11-heart-rate-monitor-hrm/

Hi i have change the battery in a polar f6 but?

Make sure you don't have the battery in upside down. The large outside case of a button cell is the +positive side.

Problem to Sync with my Polar F6

The only solution here can be: You have to completely reset your watch and then try to synchronize it again. In case if you've lost instructions, download them here:

www.polardiscount.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idProduct=76 - 87k - Cached - Similar pages

On the right side of the screen you will see:
Polar F6- Black Coal manual.
Click on it and get full instructions.
If all this do not work, you'll need to find your nearest watch repair shop and ask for help.

Do not forget to rate please.
