Try using another brand of paper some papers are thicker than others and can fool the printer into thinking the printer has a paper jam.

Some printers detect the type of paper you are using, and print accordingly. Do you have photo cartridges installed? If not, that will trigger an error message. Try putting a smaller amount of sheets in the paper feed- that can sometimes trigger an error message, I've read in reviews. Double check the printer to make sure there, indeed, isn't a paper jam. The type of paper one uses with certain printers can be an issue, so google your printer make and model number and then type something like suggested paper type, or things similar, and you will get some sites that discuss problems with different printers and paper types, and also suggestions of which paper will work well with which printer.
I couldn't find any specific information since I didn't have a make and model number, but hope this general information helps.
Good luck, and thanks for using FixYa.

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

SOURCE: Epson Stylus Photo R350 giving a paper jam error message
An Epson service man (he was VERY kind to suggest this) told me to use a weak detergent solution on the rollers, NOT alcohol as that will dry out the material the rollers are made of. Although the problem has recurred a couple of times, it's worth repeating when necessary. I actually activate the 'print' command so it tries to feed in paper, while I FIRMLY hold a piece of fine cotton cloth stretched over a thin plastic ruler, which I hold down where the paper feed grabs its paper. The printer has a couple of tries to feed paper, reports an error message (because there was no paper) and I activate it again, thus exposing the WHOLE of the feed wheel to the cleansing cloth! WORTH A TRY!

As you could notice in the first message that the printer model is HP Officejet J6480. I did not say it is officejet though, but if you are an expert you should know. I did install special ink cartridge for printing photos. Ther are no any jams. The printer does print on regular paper - it does not on photo paper.
Do not bother. I resolved the problem myself.
