Taking too long to fill. Check the strainers in the rear where the hose connects and check water flow from the hose.

Also try a power disconnect overnight to do a power reset of the control board.

put the washer on cold,start to fill washer, turn washer off if water still keeps filling you have a bad water valve,do the same test on hot,if both turn off when you push stop then check the water level hose from the water level switch to the tub,if both ends are secure then replace the water level switch-mike

you need to replace the water level switch

Turn off your water to the washer.
Remove the hoses from the valve at the rear of the washer and clean the trash out of the filter screen.
You have a cold fill rinse washer.
If it can't get water it stops advancing the timer.

i would recommend checking the water level switch or lid switch and also the cable leading to it. that is what sends a signal to the machine control to stop filling with water.
