Syncing Ipod touch

I just bought a new Ipod Touch. When attempting to sync the Touch I get an error message " the disc can not be read from or written to". I have Updated I tunes, restored original settings, rest and re-started the PC and even exchanged the Touch for a new one. Same error message. My wifes Nano works fine, but the Touch does not sync. It starts the process and after about 100 songs, the error message appears.

How tro fix a Error 13019 during syncing your ipod touch with itunes

Select the iPhone or iPod touch in iTunes under Devices.

Click the Music tab and deselect the Sync Music option.

Click Apply and then click Sync.

After the sync is complete, reselect the Sync Music option.

Click Apply and then click Sync.

If the Error 13019 occurs while syncing content other than music (applications, podcasts, and so on), then perform the same steps above but uncheck the content that stops syncing with Error 13019.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, attempt to sync an empty iTunes music library to the device while logged in as a new admin user

I forget my passcode to get into my ipod touch

After a series of more failed attempts, your iPod displays the same "iPod is Disabled" message, but with an added "Connect to iTunes" message. At this point, your iPod shuts down completely and you cannot make any more attempts to enter the passcode. In order to restore the device at this stage, you need to connect it to a computer with iTunes installed. Ideally, connect it to a computer that you've used before for syncing your iPod.

Hi, I just received the newest version of ipod touch as a replacement for my old nano. I already have a full itunes library and wish to sync my new ipod touch so I can still have all my purchased songs....

Once itunes has finished syncing go to your ipod under devies and then click on the music tab and then click on sync music and choose the options you require from entire music library to playlists (my prefered option as you can prior to syncing set up an ipod playlist and add what music you want) or Artist, Genres or Albums. Once you have selected the options you require click on Apply at the bottom right corner. Hope this helps.

When trying to send an email from my ipod touch, the message "cannot send mail the sender address was invalid". I am able to receive all emails and otherwise my email account (aol) works normally.

I would try reconfiguring your e-mail setting. Here is how you do it:

Set Up an Email Account to Use on an IPod Touch
  • Set up your iPod touch to sync by attaching the wide end of the USB cable into the dock at the bottom of your iPod. Insert the smaller end into a USB port on your computer. The keyboard ports on a desktop computer do not have enough power to sustain syncing, so use one of the ports on the computer itself.
  • Open iTunes and wait for your iPod to be recognized. Go to the "Info" tab at the top of the summary screen that appears.
  • Choose the type of email account you want to sync from the list of options. Refer to your iPod touch user manual to find out which mail programs are compatible with your iPod. Click on "Sync."
  • Get a free email account to use with your iPod touch if you do not have an email account through your Internet Service Provide (ISP). Both Yahoo! and Google Mail (Gmail) offer free email accounts that can be used with the iPod touch (see Resources below). Go to "Settings," "Mail" and "Account" to add an email address from Yahoo! or Gmail directly to your iPod touch.
Check and Send Email on Your IPod Touch
  • Tap the "Mail" icon on the home screen of your iPod. When you have unread mail in your inbox, the number of messages will display in a red circle at the top of the icon.
  • Touch the inbox or other mailboxes that you may have set up to see the unread messages. Each unread message will have a blue dot next to it.
  • Read a message by tapping on the subject line. The full message will then appear on your screen. To read another email, you can touch the up and down arrows or you can go back to the inbox to select another email.
  • View photo, video, word processing and spreadsheet attachments by downloading them to your iPod touch. Tap the attachment to open it. When it has finished downloading, you will be able to see it on the screen.
  • Reply to an email that you have been sent by tapping the "Reply" icon (it looks like a backward arrow) when you are viewing the message.
  • Send a new email by tapping the icon that looks like a pencil and paper. Use the keyboard to enter in the recipient's email address or choose an address from your contact list. Type the text of your message and touch "Send."
  • Check for new messages in your inbox by tapping the "Refresh" button. This is an icon that looks like a circular-shaped arrow.
  • Delete an email by touching it and then touching the trash can icon.
WARNING
Syncing an email address to an iPod touch activates the email account and makes it ready to use on the device. It does not transfer actual email messages from the computer to the iPod touch. Conversely, remember that any changes in the settings that are made to the email account through the iPod will not sync back to the computer. Individual settings will have to be restored on the computer if desired.

Syncing my itouch with itunes

Itunes can sync infinite ipods and should have no trouble, so there isnt a problem with having two ipods. Try this: turn off your ipod, hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until a picture of the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it. itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode". this will get rid of any previous users' settings, and hopefully fix anything preventing itunes from syncing with your ipod.
