Where does a deleted file go? any chance for recovery?

I accidentally deleted an obviously important file on my player and now it doesn't want to play any mp3. the situation is this: i wanted to rename some mp3 files on my player. so i connected it to the pc and before opening the "music" folder, i noticed a file, which was out of all the folders (music, photos, audio, etc.) and stupidly deleted it. then i renamed some mp3 files and and safely removed the player from the pc. and when i switched it on and tried to play an mp3 file, all files play intermittently and mixed with one another. besides that, when i connected the player to the pc again, i found quite a lot of mp3 files, obviously corrupted in some way, unable to be even deleted. a message comes out, saying "the file cannot be deleted because it is corrupted or unreadable". so what do i do now? if this deleted file, important for the playback, cannot be recovered, at least i would like to delete all mp3 files and download them again, but i can't even do that, because they are corrupted or unreadable..? any suggestions? thank you all very much in advance.

You are going to have to start again, first connect the unit to your computer copy anything you want to save piccys movies and stuff but not the corrupted music files, Format the drive, then goto http://www.nodevice.com/driver/_PVR-H140/get33981.html download the driver files and re-install to the PVR, then copy all your mp3 files back.........

Now, it is at least possible to recover your Mac files as long as you follow the right steps.

It is said that about 80% Mac users are used to deleting a file or emptied the Trash bin by mistake on their Mac computer or perform format option. Do you really think those files are really gone forever or are you looking urgently for a solution to recover and restore those important files, photos or documents that you need and which you've just deleted? So what should be the right things to do when you accidentally met this kind of problem?

Possible to Recover files from Mac machine in such case? YES, definitely. As matter of fact, when emptied Trash Mac, used Shift-Delete to get rid of the file, deleted it from within an application or used some other method of removing it that bypassed the bin, then it is still almost certainly recoverable. The file is still not really deleted. Although the space occupied by the file becomes available for re-use by other files, it doesn't get re-used straight away so the data it contained will stay on your hard drive for some time to come and may be recovered using software that knows what to look for.

First things first - If you have Mac machines purchased after November 2007 are installed with the Leopard operating system. One of the most important utilities of the Leopard is Time Machine. This complete backup tool can backup almost anything and everything on a Mac every hour with its unique features. Incorporated with 3 Recovery Options like 'Deleted Recovery', 'Raw Recovery' and 'Lost Partition Recovery', the Mac file recovery software is a powerful yet comprehensive solution to recover all your Mac data in just a few mouth clicks.

But you should remember: before your deleted files are recovered from Mac, DO NOT attempt to put more files to the partition as this will decrease chances of Mac trash recovery for there might be a chance for your files to be overwritten. Overwritten, it is impossible to do mac data recovery. You should be aware of that.

Can you recover deleted files from sony icd-ux200f voice recorder? I thought I had transferred thte files to itunes and then deleted them from the mp3 player. Then I realised I had only linked them to play...

You may try asoftech data recovery which helped me before. You can download trial for free
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

Please be noted that your voice recorder should show as a drive letter in your computer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.
