When you receive the LE error code, unplug the machine for approximately 15 - 20 minutes. This will reset the microprocessor.

Oversudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. Oversudsing can also cause leaking and odor.

A breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause the error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire.

A couple of notes about this - there are at least three motors on this unit - the main pump, the drain pump, and the 'vario motor' which appears to control the direction of water flow through the sprayers. The main pump is the one likely to go bad. Another cause of the LE code is broken wires in the door. The wires in the door get stuck in the black sound insulation and eventually break. Sometimes, this causes the LE error code. Check the wires in the door first. They are located behind the large front panel. It's easily removed by undoing 6 screws.

Take the front door panel off and look for a purple wire embedded in the insulation. the wire has most likely broken. Simply splice it back together and you will be back up and running

Dishwasher showwing LE error message

Hi Tanja

LE is motor error.

Empty water from inside the machine and try tripping the circuit breaker for a couple of minutes.

If that does no clear the error , then one of the following faults may have ocurred:

Wiring connection broken either bad connector on pump side or on timer control side, or faulty wiring harness.
The hose connected to impeller, or the impeller itself is blocked.
Motor or pump locked.
Faulty timer board.

Error code LE and OE

The LG error code OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly. Check the exit hose, it may be clogged.
LE Code refers to a motor overload.Since the pump is blocked, the motor becomes inefficient in working.Once you get the pump cleared from blockages,I assure that you can get rid of these errors.Good luck with the machine. Please do post the results and comments.

Im getting error code "LE" on my lg dishwasher

While LE is the LG error code for "Motor Error": The Motor is working abnormally, it does not always mean that the motor itself has failed.
As you replaced the pump motor, are you certain that the Impeller of Washing Pump is turning freely? Next, is the Blade spinning freely?
If everything above is obviously not locked, the next item is the controller board. (PCB)
Hope that helps. Please report back with your findings! Good Luck.

Hi there I have a silver LG dishwasher..I am intermittentleey getting the Code PE. I have take the pump off the exit water pipe and chaeck for blockages etc... there are none. Any ideas?

Please confirm the model number of this LG diswasher.
On recent LG units, the avaiable error codes are: IE OE E1 FE tE LE
The PE code is abnormal. Can you confirm.
I would expect to see the error OE if water is not fully pumped out. Remove the filter from the sump area beneath the bottom rack. Look closely for debris causing a blockage/lock. Please get back to me with your findings and ask more questions as needed.
