I have an LG 42PX3RU-ZA its works fine but after a while the screen changes slightly and there is white snow all over it, then after a while it just clicks back to normal! very frustrating indeed.

There is a fault in the main processor that is causing noise. The set will have to be serviced. The tech will probably try the main video processing board to start.

These speckels are what digital noise can show up like. Digital noise can show as speckels, or aliasing, depending on the type of noise generation that is happening. It will not necessarily show up as like noise on an alalog TV set, unless it is purly RF noise from the front end. Sometimes noise can occure by having clocking pulses that are slightly out of time or phase. This type of noise can also look like seckels or other types depending on the type, and where in the circuit it is being generated.
In any case, the boards would have to be tried to determine which one is the cause of the fault.
