I have a Talkswitch unit that works great except that the caller ID from outside calls does not show a number : "Unknown" is all that is displayed. Internal caller ID properly shows extension. We have had the phone company test our caller ID many times and that is not the problem. I also checked the Caller ID field in "Phone Line Services" for each telephone line. Any help available?

Log into your TalkSwitch Management Software.
Go to Telephone Lines.
Under each incoming line make sure that Caller ID is checked.
Click File> Save
Hopefully this will fix it for you.

If you subscribe to caller ID service, information about each caller appears after the first or second ring. If you answer a call before the caller information appears on the screen, it will not be saved in the caller ID log. The caller ID log stores up to 50 entries. Each entry has up to 24 digits for the phone number and 15 characters for the name. If the telephone number has more that 15 digits, only the last 15 digits appear. Call block

I have a D211 phone and no caller ID is being displayed, how do I set this up?

You have to enter the phone numbers that you want to be identified in the phone book of the phone. If you want to show caller ID's for unknown callers, you have to subscribe it from your network/phone service provider. It is a monthly service fee.

On Samsung jet s8000 Incoming calls display unknown caller message, but call log shows ID

Check your Sim in another phone to confirm , if there is no CLIP then the service provider has barred you and must get in touch. Also is possible that the phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation. Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.

UNIDEN TRU8888-CALLER ID DOES NOT WORK

Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888. In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-

If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.

When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)

When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.

You may receive any one of the following messages:

When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data

The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.

Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

Talkswitch 480 VS no longer shows caller ID Simply "out of area".Can this be repaired?

Call Talkswitch, they will offer a swap for another system and bill you $500 to do so. This happened to me twice. First swap was $250. A year later it is now $500. I was told this increase was due the end of the system life and a shortage on parts. My system is just about 4 years old. My next system will have telephone line surge supperssors inline with the telephone lines.

take backup of ALL the data of ur cell phone and then do a MASTER RESET.
it shud solve the problem.
