On the screen the center blue dots circular area getting bigger for last 12 months, lower right corner of screen have a blue triangle.I saw an answer to solve this similar discribed problem with the light engine: what is this part for, is this the same as the light bulb. Also is there any problem with the screen that receive the light. How do I hnow which is the problem, the screen or the light bulb or both. What is the cost to fix either one or both. Thank you for your helpful answer.Nothing have been done to fix it yet.

my sony is 4yrs also it has blue dots on the left side from top to bottom and a blue blob on rt. bottom corner no longer under warr. please send repair solution.

This set has no internal manual adjustments for color. The Tracking or B&W balance is accessed via the service menu. I don't suggest you attempt to adjust without instrumentation. the trouble with your set is not an adjustment. Most likely the Optics are at fault. This model has had issues with filters in the optics being destroyed over time by the lamp. The blue haze will get worse and continue to grow over the whole picture. The only option is to remove the Optics (light engine) and sent it out to be rebuilt.

thats a common symptom for that model which is usually related to the optical block. Very exspensive repair. Check with a sony authorized repair center as Sony has recognized the problem and offer assistance with certain models yours may be one of the ones affected.
