What amp of fuse do I need

According to my research, the MW power is 600 watts.

It is critical to use exactly the same fuse type and value that was taken out.

0.9 cu. ft. capacity with 900 watts of cooking power

Replace the faulty/contaminated door switches.
That will do it.

Is the cubic foot size of the microwave on the name plate?? It seems that with Emerson the size relates closely to the wattage .. 0.9 cu ft is 900 watts, 1.1 cu ft is 1000 watts .. 0.7 cu ft is 700watts .. That would be the closest info I can get.

Normally when you take the cover off, the fuse will be on the right of the oven on the circuit board.

Call any service center that services appliances or most any electronics parts supplier. You will have to know the specs of the thermo fuse to order one.

If the thermo fuse is blown, most likely there was an overheating condition, and there is a failure somewhere. This can be a serious safety issue. When you change the fuse, it may blow again. It would be best to verify the specifications and for proper operation of the unit before using it again. A qualified service center for microwave ovens can do this for you.
