Ice maker will not push out ice cubes once frozer

We have thawed entire unit to clear possible "ice jams".
Turned back on, ice tray fills with water, ejector arms up and functional.
Ice freezes, ejector arm starts to cycle but gets to the ice cubes and gets "stuck".
The ejector arm doesn't appear to have enough umph to push the ice out of the tray - however something is trying to cycle the ejector arm because i can hear a knocking sound.
I see in a parts manual on-line the ice cubes are made in an ice cube mold and heater assembly - is the heater part not coming on to loosen the ice cubes from the tray??
Solutions???

That means that the evaporator fan system that releases the the ice cubes is not working as it should.

The heater, or evaporator fan and heating system must be checked, and fan, or solenoid, or element must be replaced.

Use the number listed on the owner manual if you want to call a technician.

Enter model number on this website to find schematics and replacement parts.

GE Ice Maker Auger Motor won't move with tray out

If the auger motor won't turn by hand, it's possible that it is frozen and needs to be removed and thawed out. You can try spraying it with cooking spray after it's dried out to help prevent future freezing. Before removing the auger motor, make sure to unplug the refrigerator and turn off the water supply to the ice maker. You may need to remove the ice bin and any surrounding parts to access the motor. Once you've removed the motor, you can thaw it out by leaving it at room temperature or using a hairdryer on a low heat setting. Be careful not to overheat the motor. After thawing, you can test the motor to see if it's working properly. If the motor still doesn't turn, it may need to be replaced.

Water leaking than freezing on floor of lower draw under ice maker in subzero 700tf freezer

If cubes are very large the ice maker may be overfilling and need the fill adjusted to allow less water into the maker. Otherwise check the fill tube (runs from the back wall to ice maker) for loose connections or cracked tubing. (In this instance the cubes would be smaller than usual.) If neither of these is the source, then look up to the highest point of ice (water flows downhill) for the origin. Suspect a stopped up defrost drain. Thaw and clear ice, then clear drain tube (DO NOT use a wire for this) with warm water and a turkey baster. Once water is flowing through tube and into drain pan under the unit the problem should be solved.

Our model 532 keeps over filling the ice maker causing a build up on the back and down all of the drawer. We can turn it off and thaw the entire box and the water keeps filling the tray even though the ice...

The fill valve for the ice maker could be stuck partially open and dripping into the ice maker. If this is the case shut off the water line to the ice maker and if the water stops you will need to replace the ice maker fill vavle

Ice Maker Infrared light doesn't light

Each mold tray has a heating element that is turned on to free the ice cubes from the mold tray and allow them to fall into the ice bucket when the tray is rotated into harvest position. Sounds like that is not being turned on... or is defective..

I removed the entire unit again, looked at it, removed the front cover, and decided I wasn't going to take anything else apart. When I reinstalled it in the refrigerator, it started working again. Possibly the wire connectors just needed plugging in the clean them again.

Samsung Ice Maker on Mdl RB215LASH

It is quite possible the water line near the ice-maker is frozen. I would try a warm hair drier to thaw it out.

Sub zero 532 ice maker

When my repair tech came out, he showed me that the fill tube sometimes retracts toward the rear of the freezer. He simply pulled it forward with a pair of needle nose pliers until it rested in the delivery reservoir. This placement allows the detector to know when the tray is full and shut off; thus not overfilling the freezing tray and/or splashing additional water onto the freezer wall and into the ice cube drawer.
