Hi,
You CAN you your X4270 with your mac, its just a bit of work.
You may need to download the gutenprint/gimp drivers and install them. Which you can find at this link: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gimp-print/gutenprint-5.2.4-rc1.dmg?use_mirror=superb-west

Once these are installed, do the following:
Before attempting this, ensure that your X4270 is plugged into your Mac and powered on.
1: Open "System Preferences" under the Apple menu in the upper left corner.
2: Click on "Print & Fax"
3: Click the "+" to add a printer
4: "Lexmark 4200 Series" should show up under the default tad of add printer, select it by single clicking.
5: If you wish you can change the name and give a location below
6: Where it says "Print using:", select: "Select a driver to use" This will bring up a list of printers
7: Search or scroll until you find "Lexmark Z43-CUPS+GutenPrint", select this by single clicking.
8: Press the "Add" button at the bottom and you should be done, if may ask you to step through a few more things, but it will be trivial.

Please note that this is not a perfect solution. I seem to have to print one page at a time, which is a pain, but at least I didn't have to buy a new printer. This could be a problem with my printer only, or it might just be a setting that I haven't found yet, so look around see if you can find it.

Also, you will not be able to use the scanner on your mac as far as I can tell, and I don't remember if the copy/fax works.

Good luck!

Sorry, but I think you may be out of luck. The MFC that you have purchased is not on the Lexmark compatability list for Mac OS. List found here:

http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/sequentialem/home/0,6959,204816596_666691854_1177082303_en,00.html

You may have to purchase another MFC if you want to use it with your MacBook laptop. If this is the case, please check the Systems Requirements on the brochure/side of the box before purchasing.

Good luck.

How do I Return regular keyboard functionality on Apple MacBook Air notebook

Sounds like you need a new keyboard. You can get one from apple or a third party vendor. One thing you might try is re-installing the drivers for the keyboard.

Hello, l have recently purchased a macbook air laptop and l am trying to figure out how to get it to print to my canon Pixma MP480 printer. Any suggestions??

You need the printer/driver software. In your Apple system prefs they have a lost of printer/drivers available - you need to check if yours is on there, you might have to download from Canon.

Hello. Unfortunately, the printer is not compatible with Macintosh OS. There are no Lexmark X4270 printer drivers for Macintosh operating system. The printer only works with Microsoft Windows operating system. This may be unacceptable but if you're interested, Lexmark offer customers, who are in a situation like this, a 20% discount on new models in the market. You can contact Lexmark at 1-800-LEXMARK(1-800-539-6275). I'm sorry but I hope I can assist you more on this.

I need a HP OfficeJet K80 printer driver for my Mac Notebook.

Unfortunately, you are correct. There is no supported driver for that printer. If you are primarily using a mac, I suggest getting a new printer that has supported drivers. I can suggest the Cannon 620 All in one. It has Mac supported drivers for both printer and scanning. I did much research and this is the most popular printer for Mac users.

Try turning on printer sharing on the system pref app. Launch the system preferences in the dock, and click on sharing. Then enable printer sharing on the main computer... then on your macbook as you choose your printer (from the print command within an application). in the pull down menu choose the printers in the SHARED area of the menu... it should help get you there.

You can reset Office's printing preferences by trashing the Office folder in /home/preferences. You can re-install the printer's driver also.

Software disk for hp office Jet k60

This printer is supported in Mac OSX. All you need to do is plug it in, and Add the Printer in System Preferences. The driver is an open source driver called Gutenprint. It is already installed on your computer, so the Add Printer should find the drivers nessesary by itself.

MacBook Printer Problem

If you have OSX, the computer already has the drivers, do not use the ce, just connect the printer via usb, make sure the power cable is connected, turn the printer on, restart the computer.
After the reboot, go to the apple in the top left, select SYSTEM PREFS, select PRINTING and FAX, add a printer based on the model number. That should do it, if not, let me know, you may need 2 more steps.
