Pc problems Hi all,I really need help.I need advice on what to do here. my specs are AMD 64x2 6000+ duelcore 3.00GHZ,2gig ram ddr2 800mhz,160gb maxtor hd,nvidia 9600gt 512mb graphic card.i have a good cpu cooler and a case fan with 2x 80mm fans blowing in from the front.my computer sticks a little on high performance games.they run fine in the begining but after a little while it starts sticking every 3min or so.like i said it runs the games smooth and all.just after the pc heats up it gives problems every 3min or so..freezing and sound sticks.i took one of my ram out to give me 1gig ram and it seems to fix the problem with call of duty4 but on assasins creed it sticks still.my gpu runs at +-65 degrees when running a game and around 43 degrees at rest.my cpu at idle is at 40 degrees and at game speed it runs around 56-60 degrees ,mb temp is around 34-40.please can somebody give me some advice. It seems like a heat problem...or because i installed more cooling and it didnt fix the problem.....maybe its the power output.230v is my output.

Hi - what Wattage is the Power Supply? I think you may need around 500 watts or more.

I have had similar problems in the past caused by insufficient Power being supplied to components (including having to move my Video Card's power cable pick up to very close to the Power Supply Unit instead of coming off the tail end of the wiring harness! - this worked in my case).

Hope this helps.

Probably have to stick with SATA II for HDD but you could probably use more space! You didn't say what you use your computer for but ... What you really need is much more RAM 'course it will be a LOT more expensive now than even a few months ago...Buy the same RAM as you currently have but if you are using a 64bit operating system use at least two 4GB sticks two 8GB sticks better still... That motherboard will use any of these 3 memory sticks.IN PAIRS.if you just put in 2 make sure the go in the same colored slots.
DDR2 PC2-4200
DDR2 PC2-5300
DDR2 PC2-6400
Each slot will take upto a 2gig memory stick. For a max of 8gig.
Use matching pairs.

Slow Graphic Acceleration

i play WoW and i recommend you get at least 2Gig memory and with that card you need to run the game in low settings. The 5200 series card is not high end gaming card. If you have pci express slot i highly recommend a 9600GT. But first upgrade to 2Gig RAM

Don't know the cause of the problem with my pc.

Check your memory module. Unit turn off and unplugged to the outlet. Reseat or clean its edge connector with soft eraser.

Or try to reseat it to next bank(same specification). Or try to use another good ram module.

Query about AMD 6000+ Processor

Yes you need to reload if possible the latest drivers for all of your computer components so they will be working fine with this new processor that you have , since the new processor is much higher than the original so it will be better if you can update or reinstall using the latest drivers for all of it...
