Hi,
We live in Winston Salem NC. We have had serious for over three years. About two months ago, it started going bad. We replaced our receiver, replaced the docking station, replaced the small indoor antenna with an outdoor antenna that my husband posted high on our outdoor deck with no blockage from the house or trees and facing in the appropriate direction.
Worked fine for about a month. Yesterday we were treated to "no antenna detected" again. Is the satellite out? What's going on? Any idea?
Hope you can help us,
Donna L
More than likely, it is the antenna. Sad to say, but the Sirius antennas go bad very easily. Make sure there is no undue pressure on the antenna wire itself, as that can aide to premature failure. Bad antennas are the number one reason for the unit to read 'antenna not detected.' I have seen plenty of the antennas go bad and they were not misused one bit. If you contact Sirius, they're usually pretty good at understanding the misfortune of losing your paid service. Sometimes they'll ship you out a new antenna.

Hi riamb9...
Sorry I could not come up with a user manual for your RP-7958 there was only one page about this remote.
But it did contain a phone and address that may have a manual for your remote..go to the following webpage, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to get there phone number and address.

Are you in NC? Sounds like it could be the flame rod dirty. Could also be a dirty fuel filter or the burner mat may be loose. A warped flame ring can also cause this to happen. Check the flame rod. It can be cleaned with some steelwool or emory cloth. Is the flame in the burner yellow or is it blue like it should be. If it isn\'t blue then something is going on in the burner. Check the fuel filter and make sure it isn\'t clogged. If you are in NC and anywhere close to Winston Salem I can check it out for you.
