The error code 51330 keeps coming up when I try to connect to the Internet on my wii

The following Wii error codes all have the same possible solutions, which you can read below this list of codes...
  • All Wii Error Codes between 51000 and 51099
  • All Wii Error Codes Between 54000 and 54099
  • All Wii Error Codes Between 51300 and 51399
  • All Wii Error Codes Between 52100 and 52199
  • All Wii Error Codes Between 52200 and 52299
  • All Wii Error Codes Between 52400 and 52499
  • All Wii Error Codes Between 52500 and 52599
  • 51130This is a General Troubleshooting error code and does not have any one specific cause. You'll need to try the following steps to try to solve the problem.
    1. Your wireless router sends out an internet signal using a specific "channel" (much like a radio broadcasts over the airwaves). You can change the "channel" that your wireless router uses to broadcast the internet signal manually. Nintendo suggests setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11, as these are supposed to be the fastest channels for download speed.
The Nintendo website has a guide that shows you how to change the channel on your wireless router. https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/routers/index.jsp
  • 2. In addition to the broadcasting channel, there is also a broadcast setting. This can be set to either "G", "B", or "Mixed." Nintendo suggests that the "Mixed" setting gives the best network connection, but you might need to try all three settings to get the best network connection.
    3. Home appliances and other devices that are near to your console, like microwaves and cordless phones, might cause interference with your wireless network connection, so try turning these off. Other wireless devices like keyboards and computer mice can also interfere with your network connection.

Error code 52130, trying to hook up to the wireless internet. Any Suggestions?

Error Code: 52130 The Wii is unable to connect to the Internet
Likely cause: The wireless router is incorrectly connected, or the Wii console will need a DNS manually entered.
How to fix: Check the way your router is connected; manually assign a DNS to the Wii.
  1. Check the connections to your wireless router:
Even if you are able to get a working Internet connection to your computer through the wireless router, if it is not properly connected to the modem, the Wii and other devices may not be able to use it.
    • Most routers have five (5) ports on the back. Typically there is a set of four, with a single port either farther away from the rest, or separated with a different color border or line. This single port is often labeled "Internet" or "INT." Make sure the cable coming out of your modem is plugged directly into this "Internet" port, and not into one of the other four that are grouped together.

  2. Manually change your Wii console's DNS settings. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Access the Wii system settings (how to), and use the right arrow twice and select "Internet."
    2. Select "Connection Settings," and choose the connection file (1, 2, or 3) that are you are currently using.
    3. Select "Change settings" and click the right arrow 3 times to reach "Auto-Obtain DNS."
    4. Select "No," and choose "Advanced Settings."
    5. Click into the "Primary DNS" field and enter: 8.8.8.8
    6. Click into the "Secondary DNS" field and enter: 8.8.4.4 Select "Confirm," and then "Save."
    7. Select "OK" to start the connection test. Once the test finishes, try to download the update again.
  3. If you are still getting this error code after trying the steps above, please call 1-800-255-3700 for further assistance.

Trying to connect my WII council to the internet and it keeps coming up "Unable to connect to the internet Error code: 50230"

Error code 50230 is thrown when the Wii's internet connection has not yet been configured. These instructions on configuring the connection settings come from Nintendo's website at:

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/getOnline/index.jsp

  1. Power on your Wii console and press the A Button on the Wii Remote to reach the Wii main menu. Use the Wii Remote to select the "Wii" button.
      wiimenu.gif
  2. Now, select "Wii Settings" to access the "Wii System Settings" menu.
      wiisettingsmenu.gif
  3. Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select "Internet."
      wii_settings_arrow.png
  4. Select "Connection 1: None"
      wiisettingsinternet3.gif
(Don't see "None" in Connection 1? Click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings.")
  5. Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point."
      wiisettingsinternet4.png
(Are you using a wired Internet connection to your Wii console? If so, click here for specific help.)
  6. Select "OK" and the Wii will display all the wireless networks it finds.
      sfap2.gif
  7. Select the wireless network that is yours.
(If you're not sure which is yours, or you don't see any wireless networks, click here.)

  8. Asked to enter a security key? If you are prompted to "Enter the Password or Key," then the wireless network you are trying to connect to has wireless security turned on. You will need to type in your security key or password and select "OK." secureaccess.png Don't know your router's security key? Let us help you find your router's security key. Select the brand of your router below and we'll provide you with the default information for that brand! Linksys Netgear DLink Belkin Apple 2Wire All other brands
  9. Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."

    • The Wii console will run a connection test with your wireless network when the test is completed. You should see the following screen:
        sfapun2.gif
As long as you see "The connection test was successful," the "Wii Support Code" does not matter and can be ignored

    • The connection test was successful - Then you're almost done! After your connection test, the Wii console will check if there is a new Wii System Update available. Once you select "Yes" and "I Accept," the Wii will begin to download any available updates. Click here to find out what's next!

    • The connection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you will receive an error code.
      • Error Code 51330 or 52130: This means the security code you entered into the Wii is not the same one your router is set to. Look in your router's settings and try again. Please refer to step seven (7) above for more information.
      • All other error codes: Try our error code troubleshooting where we have detailed information on many common error codes. (You can ignore any "Wii Support Code" you receive on a connection test.)

Trying to connect to wireless internet

From the main channel menu on the Wii, hit the Wii button. Then navigate to Wii Settings > Internet (page 2). Select an empty connection, choose your connection type and then follow the on-screen instructions. You should first try choosing "Automatic" or "Auto-Detect" whenever possible. If that doesn't work, try using Manual settings.

Here's a detailed guide on how to set up an internet connection.

Hope this helps!

Error code 32004

Error Code: 32004 Please check the following:
  1. Satellite Internet often causes this Error Code. You must have a cable or DSL internet connection. Other connection types, such as dial-up and satellite, are typically not compatible. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you are not sure what type of internet connection you have.
  2. Ours servers may be trying to handle an unusually high amount of traffic (especially if a new Wii update is available). Please wait a few hours and try the connection again later.
  3. Does your internet service provider (ISP) require that you log in whenever you wish to use the internet? If so, your ISP may not be compatible with the Wii console. Please contact your ISP for additional information.
If you are still unable to connect, and have waited a few hours, please try the following:
How are you attempting to connect your Wii console online?
    Wireless Router:

  1. Adjust the Wii's manual settings. Click here for more information.
  2. Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. Be sure to try both channels if the first one you try does not work. This can potentially increase the download speed. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available). (The "Channel" setting is typically found in the "Wireless" section of your router's setup utility.)

  3. If adjusting the "Channel" did not work, please review our "Slow Download Times or Errors Received While Connecting" troubleshooting tips by clicking here.

  4. Try temporarily disabling your router's firewall.* Are you using a Netgear brand wireless router? Our expeirence shows disabling the "SPI Firewall" of the router may help the connection. The "SPI Firewall" option is typically found under the "WAN Setup" tab of the router's settings. For information on accessing your router's settings, please click here and select the model of the Netgear router you own (if available).
  5. If you are still receiving this error code, please click here for assistance.

    Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

  1. Does your PC have any security programs (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-adware, etc.) installed? If you are using the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, and have a software firewall or other computer security program installed on your computer, there may be additional steps you must complete to allow a successful connection.
      "Trusted" Applications:
If your firewall or PC security program keeps a list of trusted applications (also known as a "trusted zone"), the following programs are installed with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, and require internet communications. If prompted by your firewall or PC security program, add these to the list of trusted applications. This information may also apply to certain computer security applications, such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.:
      • Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector USB (NintendoWFCReg.exe)
      • Setup.exe (when installing the USB Connector)
      • SoftAPInstDrv.bin
      • mdriver.exe
  2. If you are using a router, you may need to temporarily disable the router's firewall to allow the Wii console to connect online and receive a system update. Once the update is received, you can turn the firewall back on. For information on locating and disabling your router's firewall, please consult the router's manual or contact the manufacturer of the router.
  3. If you are still receiving this error code, please click here for assistance.
*While Nintendo provides this information for our consumers' use, it is up to each consumer to determine what security needs they have for their own networks, and to decide how best to configure their network settings to meet those needs.
Please check the following:
  1. Satellite Internet often causes this Error Code. You must have a cable or DSL internet connection. Other connection types, such as dial-up and satellite, are typically not compatible. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you are not sure what type of internet connection you have.
