When i install windows xp harddisk could not found and red light has blinking what can i do

it may be because of different format of your harddisc window xp recognise only FAT and NTFS format format your harddisc with these two format then try to install xp

There maybe a wiring connection problem with your harddisk drive to your motherboard. Check the power cord connection and also the connection to the motherboard. Try reconnecting the cords.

Make sure u have a Sata Driver included in your Windows Cd/Dvd

your harddisk is not detected in bios.reconnect your harddisk power cable and sata or ide cable again.then check in bios harddisk is detect or not.
u cna enter in bios with "del" key when u power up ther computer prerss "del" or F2 keyh to enter in bios.

i dont think so dat window could b installed on usb.

The hard disk may be set to Enhanced AHCI SATA mode. Look for Legacy or IDE mode setting in BIOS menu options.
XP SP2 does not recognise Enhanced SATA mode hard disks.

You may be able to use NLite to make a CD which has correct SATA drivers.

Right well XP Pro really MUST be formatted with NTFS only... I suggest you get a third party partitioning program like Partition magic and completely remove the partition & redo it all again & this time Format NTFS. Or if ya have a WIN98 boot disk, and ya can use FDISK, Delete ALL partitions, and remake them again, using all the disk space, then format as NTFS, then proceed as below Then using your windows XP PRO setup Disk, start the install ...then when asked about where you want the install located, select C & REFORMAT it AGAIN with the windows setup using again NTFS file system... this should finish & then the Install should "see" your entire hard drive and format it accordingly and then when finished you can proceede to install XP.
