CPU upgrade is a big NO.
The core I5 is a different socket, and modern laptops use mobile CPU's.

Try upgrading your Bios first, also make sure that the memory that you ar putting in your Laptop is type PC-2700. Other than this, I know that this comptuer has a 2G limit and should have no problem with it.
yes ..at this price its a pretty good one ...but look cause I sow similar models with 250G hdd and the possibility to upgrade ram memory with two units of 2G ddr2 ( 1024 M ram in original ) I believe that this one has the same choices . I think ya are talking about this one
