Just remove your MMC n just type *#7370# n will ask u the security code.type it out (default code is 12345 )
NOTE: battery must b full, else if format is disrupted by low batt, consequences will b disastrous
I heard the code *#7780# works too, pretty much the same i think.

but back up everything before doing this onto ur computer or MMC.. dont forget to rate me.. thank you sir

Just go to settings>>restore factory settings. And when it ask you the security codes just enter the default one. 12345. But it wont help to repair any internal damage.

What do you want to do? You can not format the phone memory. You ca however format the memory card. Meaning you delete everything on the card and reduce its life. Phone memory can only be re-written on by firmware or anything that you put there. If you want to erase something that you put there, just delete it and lateron it will be overwritten by new stuff. Or shud you wnat to re-install the firmware then I would recommend your taking help of Nokia Care and not do it yourself from the net.

If you mean format phone press*#7370# with 12345 code,so your phone would be back to factory setting. But if you mean format mmc(memory card) go to menu find mmc folder - option than choose format. I hope it help.

Formating my nokia 5300 phone memory
Are looking for how to formating the phone memory ?
If yes ,
yeah there are some kind of applications which are hidden and consuming ur all phone memory, sou now need to format ur phone memory. but before formattiing ur phone memory, save ur all contacts and other data which is in ur phone memory once it is formatted then u will loose ur all contents in ur phone memory, to format ur phone follow this. apply this code *#7370# or *#7780# , it will ask u resetting will change all ur phone settings to original. select yes. once u will press yes it will prompt u for security code. fill security( 12345) code ur phone screen will turn to big nokia logo for meantime once will get formatted ur phone will start.
