depends on the motherboard and power supply but i would say yes because theres very little power requirement difference between them

you can buy replacement motherboards for you HU61 you have to look for a mini itx board. you can check on the net for mini itx boards.

Firstly update the bios, then install the new CPU, go into the bios settings and set them to default, that will auto adjust the computers settings, then you can have a look in the bios again to make sure the voltage is running as preferred.

Yes ...the case fan will no doubt be thermally controlled if it's connected to the motherboard .... and obviously something has gone wrong with the sensor. Have a look round and see if there are any other 2/3 fan connectors on the motherboard you could use. Most times there's the "cpu fn" (we don't want to disturb that one!), "sys fn" and one or more "case fn" connectors, but being a bespoke motherboard in that SFF case you may be out of luck. You've already hooked it to 12v to get it working so it wouldn't be difficult for you to wire it permanently to a spare power connector (you will probably have to cut the cables and rejoin them). However bear in mind that the fan will then run continuously.

But i did find these 2 places that are linked to Laconic (Enterprises), one looks lke a 'just starting' website, but nonetheless, it has an email, and contact info, the ebay listing shows a variety of 220W Style PSU's you *might*? be able to check into for a compatible one.
