I have had this scanner for years without a problem. Now it is not working. I've tried reinstalling the software, rebooting the machine, unplugging and re-plugging the USB port, and nothing works. I keep getting this error message:
Cannot operate!
1. Please check whether the scanner connects to the computer.
2. Make sure that the scanner connects to the power, and the LED is on.
3. Note that you can not connect the scanner to the bus power drive.
My responses to that error:
1. It does.
2. It is.
3. I have no idea what a bus power drive is.
tried installing artec e+48u but the same 3 lines poped out..

Quite possible the scanner motor finnaly gave out but lets look at other things first
try connecting to another usb port on comp before that completly take out all of the scanners drivers and programs this could be a simple file corrupt
i know you tried this but sometimes putting a new driver over old driver doesnt usually change the old drivers properties this is when you completly take out all drivers and software and start from scratch for this scanner

Hello thanks for using Fixya With non availability of installer disk just download its driver, You will surely make able to install your scanner with computer.You can easily & free download the driver of Artec e+48u Flatbed Scanner

Hi , Try from here :http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=123132 If you are under W7 , there is no more driver available and the only way to get your device running would be to install a virtual version of W XP on your HDD , if you don't want to buy a new scanner . Regards .
go to control panel, under device manager uninstall imaging device (scanner) and click scan for hardware changes, if found new hardware occurred click next and choose no, not this time tab / choose install from the list specific location option tab / choose don't search i will choose the driver to install / click show compatible hardware tabs and select scanner type appeared.

hi buddy! first you check the wire if its working properly and they have a connection then and if not work you try to open and check the board. because i have also incounter the same problem and ill find out they have a broken capacitor so i change and its work.
